    raising monarch butterflys from Caterpillars

    As a kid we used to raise butterfly's from Caterpillars. In California we caught the caterpillars and kept them in a large glass jar. I think this would be a great project for most kids.

    Not sure if it would work in all parts.

    I did find a site that shows how,good even if only for the read.

    If you have never done this,watching the butterfly emerge from the cocoon is kinda magical.

      Ooh! I did this in my childhood too-- and occasionally still do, but with moth caterpillars only. I agree, its both beautiful and brilliant to watch.
