I asked Thorr if he had a message for Me, have I received it? (Read Thread)

Many nights ago, as many of you may have noticed from my post about it, I awoke in the middle of the night and received an image of Thorr. I thanked him for taking an interest in me mentally, and sat outside on a rock and asked during a storm in my area: "Do you have a special message for me or are you here to offer me guidance?" (My life has been chaotic as of late and I've needed some guidance) and I also asked "What is my purpose Thorr?" and surely enough, I may have received that vision. Knowing Thorr as having an association as being the protector, I thought maybe he wanted me to be a great warrior and protect people, then a few days after I asked my questions in the storm, I got an overwhelming urge to speak with recruiters for the military about taking my ASVAB. I started with the Marine Corps and surely enough, my recruiter mentioned a "Warrior's Breakfast" the day after you receive your EGA (Eagle, Globe and Anchor), I thought "eh, Marines are very big into referring to themselves as warriors, no weird thing", but it also felt extremely natural when talking to the recruiters with the Marines, the first time something in my life has felt natural and right in a few months. I went to the Army recruiter next and sure enough, it felt unnatural and uncomfortable, a completely separate feeling than from the Marines. I think Thorr did want me to be a warrior, one in the United States Marine Corps, because before I asked for his guidance, I had zero intention of going into the armed forces, let alone when I googled "Mjolnir" I discovered that the DoD has recently allowed Mjolnir be put on the gravestones of fallen soldiers if they request it. I feel as if Thorr sent me a clear calling, be a Marine, is this true or is it just crazy coincidence?

My opinion = Coincidence, no. Message, yes.

    (may Thor bless).

It's possible. Spend a week or two researching the USMC. See if

      1) There's anything you might realistically have to deal with that is absolutely unnacceptable
      2) There's a specific MOS that you're interested in

If the answer to 1) is no, you have a few options you like for 2 and you're really enthusiastic then find a recruiter. If not, then maybe you should look elsewhere. Enlisting in the military is a binding contract. They will enforce that contract so unless Thor physically manifests to give you marching orders don't sign that contract unless after doing some research, you personally feel that you'll be happy with the results.
life itself was a lightsaber in his hands; even in the face of treachery and death and hopes gone cold, he burned like a candle in the darkness. Like a star shining in the black eternity of space.

      Yoda: Dark Rendezvous

"But those men who know anything at all about the Light also know that there is a fierceness to its power, like the bare sword of the law, or the white burning of the sun." Suddenly his voice sounded to Will very strong, and very Welsh. "At the very heart, that is. Other things, like humanity, and mercy, and charity, that most good men hold more precious than all else, they do not come first for the Light. Oh, sometimes they are there; often, indeed. But in the very long run the concern of you people is with the absolute good, ahead of all else..."

John Rowlands, The Grey King by Susan Cooper

"You come from the Lord Adam and the Lady Eve", said Aslan. "And that is both honour enough to erect the head of the poorest beggar, and shame enough to bow the shoulders of the greatest emperor on earth; be content."

Aslan, Prince Caspian by CS Lewis

Thanks for the opinion/advisement! Given that the Marine Corps, despite being out of shape and having a terrible time at the pre-deployment workouts, only continues to attract me, and it will sound negative but when things get hard, as in half the effort exerted at one of the pre-deployment workouts, I quit, it just struck me as odd as I KEEP WANTING AND CONTINUING TO GO BACK! Plus the littlest improvement makes me feel awesome. There also appears to be such an odd feeling of spirituality when speaking with the recruiters and during the work outs.

I did my research before I even talked to the recruiter, even the negative aspects attract me and I feel oddly spiritual when with the Marines and other Poolees (What they're called before they are Recruits at MCRD Parris Island or MCRD San Diego, and way before they're Marines), sort of like I'm really feeling fulfilled and doing something useful. I am interested in mainly combat roles, I am aware there are MOS that would keep me far from the combat if I so chose so, but in all honesty the MOS I am interested in would put me in or directly involve me in the combat (combat engineer, vehicle crewman, field artillery, corpsman, etc.)

If you're concerned about your physical fitness possibly putting the brakes on your plans, you might want to delay enlistment and give yourself maybe 6 months to get in better shape, better in your estimation that is. Thor will help. I have dedicated my workouts and made a promise to him that I will take my workouts and diet as far as I can to reach a goal I have in mind. However, I had a revelation the other night. When the mind is clear and quiet is when the deities can get through best. We don't usually shut up long enough for them to get a word in edgewise. Anyway, I've been stressing over just how to work my diet. But I think it was he who told me the other night to stop stressing over it. Eat healthy, eat like a man, eat to fuel my workouts. Now, at my age enlistment in the armed forces is not an option, but I too feel a more spiritual connection to him because of the promise I made to him. Keep talking to him about it and let him guide you. I'm just sharing some personal observations and experiences with you... take with a grain of salt.
