I was actually hoping a few people could help me pray for someone else.
Amanda, a fellow Pagan on her own Path, has been trying to have a child for some time. I don't know the whole story and I don't ask unless she wants me to, and she hasn't yet. However, her and her husband have been trying for years. I've already prayed, bought her a fertility candle, and have recently purchased some crystals for her that may help. She is trying to do this 'the old fashioned way' but may seek scientific intervention because she is just that desperate. I think she would be happier to know that her body is confident enough to have children (she is healthy enough, as far as she has pointed out; she has not spoken of perhaps the pregnancy being dangerous to her), but either way....
Any prayers are appreciated. She is a wonderful person who would make a great mother. As a mother myself and knowing how much my daughter has given me, I really would like to try to help her!
Thank you, and as always, Blessed Be.

Duly noted. I will keep your friend in my thoughts.

Was wondering if some of you nice people could keep my family in your thoughts. I am getting a fledgeling business off the ground (as everyone can see, I'm sure, since I post links all the time...sorry haha) and the problem is, we really a feeling financial strain. My husband is a truck driver and works VERY hard, but it just isn't enough to make ends meet completely. So, if you don't mind, can someone send money wishes our way? Maybe some ideas for money blessings?

Thanks so much

You all will be in my prayers. Personally, I think one of the simplest and best ways to convey a blessing is with some incense and prayer and/or chanting. A good money-drawing incense could be made with equal parts cinnamon and sage and half part of cloves. Light it up and chant or pray to your deity(ies).

I too could use some financial assistance. I've applied for a job with our state government as an office assistant and today I went to take a written test to see if I qualify. Some of it was a bit difficult but I'm pretty sure I earned a decent score. Oddly enough, only three other people showed up. Anyhoo, if y'all could send some energy or squeeze me into your prayers and try to tip the scales in my favor I'd highly appreciate it. Thanks.

You're in my prayers!

I have a request of my own; my husband could use some healing energy - he's either got food poisoning or a virus - and pray that the baby and I don't catch it if it's the latter!

I know this is shallow, but I could use any prayers you guys could spare for tomorrow! I've been very into cupcakes lately and I just found out today that there is a cupcake decorating contest going on tomorrow at noon! This would be EXACTLY what I need lately - I've been having some self-esteem issues, particularly related to my cooking skills, and this would make me feel competent again!

Thanks, you all!!

Hahaha...Cute!
Don't worry too much...it's pretty much just hard candy!

What flavor are you going to make the cake?

That particular one I'm making a simple white cupcake; the sugar glass is on it's third try! I'm so exhausted and I want to go to bed, but having to take care of the baby meant I wasn't RIGHT THERE when the thermometer hit 300 and it browned again. Hopefully I've got it under control this time :P

I've got one or maybe two more I'm going to do. But they might have to wait until the morning because I'm out of butter XD

Scott has a weld test for tomorrow for a job that we REALLY need him to get. Considering he's now half way across the country and had to quit his job to go there, we are TOTALLY screwed if this doesn't work out.

so...we could really use a helping thought, prayer, good wishes, whatever right now.

which sucks--because I (almost) *never* (thanks to the miracle of modern medicine) (http://www.implanon-usa.com/Consumer/index.asp?C=49814404802646643519) get my period (about every 4-6 months), it hurts like hell when I do.

My wife's ex-husband, Kelly, is in the ER. We had to call an ambulance for him because he was showing stroke symptoms, and was sent home from work early. We're waiting in the family lounge for news.

Any prayers for him would be greatly appreciated!

He's back home and resting.

Okay this one isn't for me, it is a friend of ours who is having a bad time of things.
She split with her long term partner just before Christmas last year. He has now decided that he only wants to see his kids for 6 hours a week. Now he has been reporting her to the authorities for maltreatment of the kids and earning an income forbidden for her benefits (both untrue)
Today he has gone into her shed and killed all of her imported guinea pig stock and a number of rare breeds too.
She is obviously in a bad way and could use good vibes and some luck.

He, obviously needs a good shoeing!

ADD: I also want to thank everyone who prayed for Azazel. While he didn't get the job he is still hopeful albeit hospitalized.

L has been working two jobs, more then 60 hours per week, total, as customer service for a stationary company and in the photo/electronics areas at Walmart. It's been the only way we've been able to make it work, here.

Last night, he got talking to the guy who visits their store as maintenance, etc, for Fuji, and they have openings right now. The job would let us head up to Portland, too. He said he'd give L the contact info on Friday...

Prayers that this actually comes to fruition?

My family, especially my husband, could sure use all the good thoughts, vibes, and prayers he can get.

He has stage 4 cancer(considered terminal)and they stopped chemo this month and are putting him on a pill to try and extend his life.

Our little family has been weighed down by a ton this past year so any good that others can spare to give us some peace and prolonged time with my husband would be awfully appreciated. Thank you!

This might be a bit frivolous...but we can use all the help we can get at this point.

The Hubby got a letter that he's in *the process* for federal hire. Anyone that has ever tried to get a job with the gov't should know what a PITA and long ass process this is...its basically taken over a year or submitting and resubmitting for a job he is amply qualified for (same thing he did in the military) and has veterans preference for (even better, he has DISABLED preference for)--the application he got hired off of was from May (and this is considered timely).

...the problem:

They inform you by certified letter. By the time certified letter was forwarded and received, he should have called them back on the 17th...which was three days ago.

...so...

PLEASE for the love of whatever gods you worship, keep us in your prayers. Because his current contract runs out at the end of December, and unless they have another contract...we might be SOL and unemployed again. (even so, the actual hiring process can still take a month or two)

Hopefully he will be able to get ahold of them tomorrow, he's already left a message today, but its after working hours here by the time my parents got to the post office in IL.

I could use some energy as well - I'm starting to get concerned that I may end up with pre-eclampsia again and I would deeply appreciate any energy ya'll could spare for me. My eyes start to water if the thought of another C-section crosses my mind... I feel less anxiety discussing the chances of hemorraging during a home birth than I do getting preeclampsia. I'm getting headaches every once in a while and my feet are starting to swell pretty badly, so I'm scared to death that I'm going down that road again.

This has been devouring my mind over the past couple of weeks so I am going to vent/ ask for prayers etc. Over a Month ago sometime during the Night a Bat came into my apartment Via a loose screen, and by loose, I mean it had partially fallen off, a hawk could have come in had he wanted too. Anyway after a good deal of flying in circles I was able to net the bat and release him. I did not want to call animal control as I did not want my bat friend to be euthanized. However, I did not notice the bat at first until my incredibly light sleeping wife was awoken by its sounds of sonar. While I didn't think about it at first my cats had all received three year vaccines almost three years to the date (Though I have read vaccines last with a good deal of effectiveness well after the actual 3 years. Something to the effect of one year vaccines last nearly three years with an effectiveness of 89% and Three Year LAst Five years at about the same rate.) and they we're all in the room rather fascinated with the Bat though I nor heard, or nor did they show signs of being bitten. Recently my wife had been laid off from full time work at the same time she decided to start going to school full time again and I am set to start a new higher earning job in the next month so with that being said we are currently living on such an incredibly small budget and with out health insurance. The next free Rabies Clinic is next month and you can be sure my cats will be there, however the fear and the phobia or rabies is starting to affect both my mental health and relationship with my cats. for example it has recently gotten colder (low fifties at night) a time where my cats always love affection and for lack of a better word cuddling at night for warmth. However I am now becoming scared of my cats and when I'm not thoroughly inspecting them for symptoms I am pretty much just scarring them away from me. Everything they do seems weird now though I know its really not, every time they bathe themselves I wonder if that is the site of a bite, and every time they brush against me I fear it is just them staggering.

The guilt of not being able to care for my Animals is overwhelming. I love them as much as I could love any one person and they have provided such joy and companionship I only want them to be happy and Healthy. I have talked to my wife about the extremely remote chance that we could have contracted rabies, but she herself is a numbers person and had no fear whatsoever. As well as a certainty none of us came in any direct contact with the bat.

I don't know what to do. Part of me would love to believe that my kindness to the Bat will be returned, but that isn't really helping I am going to take a lock of each of their coats into the forest today and pray for Protection and Safe Keeping. One of my friends is homeless. He is currently couch surfing. The place he is in is not letting him stay because the land lord isn't okay with it. He has zero funds and is desperately looking for housing and food. He is also struggling at school.

Another one of my friends is struggling to get foods, transportation and has to care for her senile grandmother.

If you could pray for my friends that would be most appreciated.

I was hoping someone could pray that the film festival I am planning does well and that I start to feel less stressed as I am working on it. I have had horrible headaches for the last 3 days due to stress and I just had my first nose bleed in 18 years. I want my festival to succeed and I am working so hard between that and my two other jobs I just can't help but to be stressed.

got in a car accident yesterday-- I'm mostly okay, but I don't know about the car, I'm 5 hours from home, and I don't know how I'm going to get back or if I'll still have a car. Prayers would be appreciated.

I'm so sorry to hear this. From my own personal experience, I sure do hope that your car gets repaired!

IF, however, that doesn't happen, then it might be nice to know that there are certainly ways to get home. If you can find a local church or other charity type organization and explain your situation, many times they will be willing to buy a greyhound ticket. Assuming that you're American, sorry if I'm in the wrong country to help.

Even sometimes social workers can get you into contact with someone who can assist you. If you don't know how to get ahold of a local social worker, call the hospital and tell them that you have a non-medical emergency, but you really need to talk to a social worker. Tell them that you need to speak to one of their social workers in order to find out how to locate charities that might be willing or able to assist you.

I know greyhound isn't a first choice, but it will get you home, which may be the final necessity when you're in such a pickle.

Despite all of that information, my greatest hope is that your car can be repaired and you can head out.

ALSO, I don't know if you had insurance, but if you do, then they are the first people to contact. They will almost unquestionably have provisions to help you get home. Again, perhaps not the best provisions, but the best isn't always necessary--sometimes you just need to get the job done.

Deep breaths, this, too shall pass.

Just half an hour ago my half black/half white cat got out of my house. I've been searching since but its midnight and I'm exhausted and he won't come to me if I call because he's always wanted to be outside.

He has no claws so if some big Cat comes to pick a fight with him he'll lose, badly.

I know this sounds weird coming from the Norse tough guy persona, but this little guy means a lot to me. Lost my last cat not long ago and I just got really fond of this one. Any prayers/good thoughts that he'll come back are extremely appreciated. Thank you.

Southern Alberta is flooding badly. Some towns are having people airlifted out. Calgary (my city) has a huge chunk of it evacuated. Downtown has been declared in a state of emergency. My husband and I are safe on our side of town, but I work downtown and got out of there yesterday just before evacuations reached us. We have friends who have been evacuated from their home at 2 am last night. The whole south half of this province is in a bit of a mess right now and it's still raining today.
Thoughts, prayers, candles, whatever for the many thousands of people (last I heard 100 000) displaced. Especially for those who are currently missing and their families.

My dads' cat, Phoebe, is old and thin. She became nervous during our absence and did not eat as much as she should have, and she's very weak. It looks like she might die, but we're trying to nurse her back to health and believe there's a halfway decent chance for her. We have a very simple, spontaneous altar to Bastet set up with prayers that whatever happens is what's best for Phoebe - help her heal if she can be saved, let her go peacefully if she cannot. Any prayers, vibes, candles, prayers (especially to Bastet if anyone has a special relationship with her). I've never worked with Bastet before, so this is a worship bargain - strictly business. I am, however, enjoying her presence. The incense of myrrh and catnip is lovely.

Thank you.

Hey guys -- I know I haven't been around a lot lately and I hate that. I also hate that I haven't been around a lot lately and one of the first forums I find myself in is this one, but if you guys could spare a moment for me and my family, that would be great. My grandfather passed last week. It was kind of sudden. He was old and lived a full life, but he wanted no service. His only wish was to be cremated as my grandmother was when she died in 2008. There was no memorial service. My grandparents wanted to be dispersed together, so my family hopes to hold some sort of ceremony later when we figure out what to do. In the meantime, if you could please keep us in your prayers, that would be greatly appreciated.

I just got a call from the hospital, he was rushed into the ER and stabilized. He may not be able to walk, depending on the severity of damage to the spine. Worst part is he is a 16 hour ride from me so I can't just get up and visit him.

I'm very worried because he always used to say "I'd rather die than not be able to ride my bike and get in the wind, if I'm ever in the hospital and end up paralyzed, just pull the plug." Now obviously we aren't going to get him killed but I'm worried on the mental damage this will have with him.

I got really good news this morning. The hospital called and the doctors and nurses were pleasantly surprised to see him get out of his hospital bed and walk into the hallway to ask the doctors what happened. This tells me two things, 1. He's not paralysed (Humongous relief) 2. His brain must be fine because he's drinking coffee now and thats all he ever does when he wakes up.

So thank you very much all of you for helping me and him out with prayers and thoughts, I'll talk to him on the phone soon probably.

In case you are all wondering I've been referring to him generally as family member and he/him but he's actually my uncle. So the whole family was really worried about him and I'm not sure if my mom got any sleep so I'm going to head over to see her too.

I don't know where to begin...

Those of you who know me are aware of my epic money troubles, that my job is on the line because teachers are being used as scapegoats and political sacrifices, and that, between the depression and panic attacks, I've been struggling to hold on to whatever bits of sanity I have left.

My wife, K'Roe, of course, has been going through the same things, including the panic attacks. If you don't know about panic disorder, I'll tell you that they are the most God-awful things ever. I'd rather have any number of broken bones - mental pain is more intense, and painful. Many people are diagnosed with panic disorder when they show up at the ER believing they are having a heart attack.

Once you've started having them, then almost anything can trigger it - like stepping out the door, or getting a little chill. And then - it's curl up in the fetal position, and cry like a baby.

I'm doing OK, all things considered. The meds keep me on my feet, and get me in & out of work, but K'Roe is still having big problems. She has panic attacks three out of five mornings. Today, it was so bad she had to call in sick, and when I got home from work, she was still shaking and crying.

So I'm sitting here tonight, making friends with a bottle, & to hell with work in the morning. She's finally asleep, and hopefully peaceful. I don't know how much more of this I can take. I can't make it without her, and she can't make it without me, and both of us are falling apart.

Whatever you can do, or think you can do - strike a fire, light a candle, cast powders upon the water, whatever - please do it for K'Roe. The woman is a frick in' angel (she's put up with me for over thirty years!), and she doesn't deserve any of this crap, and I don't seem to be able to do anything to help.

Thanks.

Sorry to hear about your troubles Corbin, at least I can relate on the panic attack front. :) I know it's not much, but it makes a difference and it's something that I am being forced to do for myself by dozens of other people out there right now.

Take the time to do something just for yourself every day. Tell your wife to do the same. It's called Self Care, and it's extremely important if you want to stave off burnout. It helps with the anxiety, it helps you cope with day to day life when things are hard, and everyone has to do it to stay healthy. It doesn't even have to be a huge, time-consuming thing (one of mine is to simply read a chapter of my book at night before bed and on breaks at work).

If you ever need to talk, I'm pretty good at being a listener. :) I hope things take a turn for the better soon for both of you.

I just got a call from my long time friend and he told me that he has been arrested for a crime he didn't commit. He was talking about his feelings with his friend and she thought he was threatening to kill her, which he wasn't. He has his trial on the 30th so if you all could keep him in your prayers for me would be highly appreciated.

How do you mistake the two? They are pretty different things. Well, you know...until they aren't.

I know right! But knowing him, I know he wouldn't harm anyone. Either he must have a rather morbid sense of humor or his friend is as confused as a Zippleback.

If anyone can, please spare a prayer for my cousin. Something happened last night and she was unresponsive, so they called an ambulance, and at the hospital when she finally woke up, she didn't know where she was and couldn't remember who anyone was. They don't know what happened, but they sent her home. I'm really worried about her!

Anubisa and Rafe, will do. I hope you and your nephew get will soon, Anu. And I hope everything turns out alright with your cousin, Rafe.

Shit hit the fan with my dad today. He's awake and off the ventilator and physically he's doing well. But those of us in the family had to make the tough decision that if he won't cooperate, we will get a court order requiring him to stay in the mental ward. A lot of info came to light today to those of us in the family that has really affected our perspective of this situation. We knew from the start it was a suicide attempt, but many of the details of the why and how came to light when my dad became conscious and some tough decisions had to be made in his best interest. Needless to say he is very unhappy and angry right. When he's awake enough to feel that way. I appreciate everyone who is keeping us in their thoughts.

I'd appreciate spare positive energy/prayers/thoughts for the girl-child - while her Daddy was making breakfast this morning, she apparently felt the urge to help out and put her hand on the burner. She's got second degree burns that have been making her miserable all day. She's holding up alright under the circumstances but the poor thing just doesn't understand what happened and why it won't go away.

Well folks, I don't know how to start.

4 days ago my sister had a miscarriage half way into her pregnancy. She went into induced labor and gave birth to a dead child, named Forrest. It was very sad for the whole family, I got to see him, and the nurses tried to take an ink foot print so we could hold on to it, but his foot was too disfigured. I spent the rest of that day feeling light headed and like I was going to puke, but I feel much better now and at peace with it, I already miss the little guy even though I never got to meet him or talk to him, I am sad at the fact that I wont be able to shoot bb guns with him, take him dirt biking and just spoiling him. But in the middle of my mourning, I realized how bad my sister must be doing, and I was right.

As of tonight she has gone suicidal, saying things like she does not want to live, and refusing to eat anything. She is being taken to a psychiatric care unit in the regional hospital.

So basically, if there are any good vibes/energy and prayers you can give to my sister, her departed son and my family, that would be very appreciated. Thanks.

I normally don't do this, but I'm feeling really scared right now. This morning (about 3:30am) I got woken up by a call from the emergency dispatchers in Ohio (I'm in Florida) that they were taking my grandmother to the ER because her arm was hurting. All they knew and could tell me was what hospital they were taking her, and that her arm hurt. Even they didn't know anything else at that point. 3:30am me is freaked the hell out thinking my grandma had a heartattack, but because it's 3:30 am-I can't call family and go "what the hell is going on". Nor could I call at 7am when I woke up for work.

Got on my lunch break-called and found out that apparently my grandma fell again and this time broke her shoulder in three places. My aunt that I got ahold of said that she's been walking on two broken ankles (how the hell-I have no idea, but she was) and that this isn't the first time she fell. Its been happening a LOT lately, and the guy that's with her can't keep picking her up. Last really bad time she gave herself a concussion.... They're going to be doing surgery tomorrow at 1pm to try and fix her shoulder, but we're not sure what's gunna go on with her ankles. When I called and talked to her, she was pretty bad. I don't know what drugs they had her on, but she sounded just like how my mom did when she was drugged up in a hospice. Too out of it, and not understanding what was going on-and that scares the crap out of me. Apparently the reason she fell was cause for some gods only know reason she decided at 3am that she needed to be putting lipstick on....

I know that there's not much to do about it-she's getting old, this kind of stuff happens....but if anyone minds saying a prayer hoping that she'll get through the surgery okay and that her mind will start to clear up more (more so that second one as I do trust the doctors at the hospital she's at to do their jobs right) I'd really appreciate it. She's bat shit crazy, but she's still my grandma, and the one that was there for me the most after my mom died, and out of that entire side of the family-the only one that's ever seen and loved me for me instead of being my mothers daughter like the rest of them do....and I'm really scared to lose her like this.

So apparently, I found out just today at my school that the school district has expelled a friend of mine simply because he was walking a girl home and to school during lunch. Apparently, they thought he must've done some horrible thing to her when even she protested against it. So yeah, I could use a few prayers here.

Please, please send prayers to my BIL. It has been an immense act of bravery and courage for him to move following the passing of his husband. On Monday morning, his uhaul containing everyone he owned was stolen in the 4 hours of the early morning between when we arrived home and my husband left for work.

It was found late last night up in Oakland. The lock had been cut and absolutely everything is gone. He has one pair of clothes, a laptop, his cats, and the ashes of his late husband. That's it. All of his pictures of his spouse, resume, birth certificate...gone.

Please send whatever you can his way. Thank you.

My college has really terrible sexual assault policies right now which are causing a lot of harm to students, and a friend and I have started a campaign to try and change these. We scheduled a meeting to speak with the Dean about them tomorrow and tell him our demands. Thing is, the Dean is a really difficult man to deal with, and I am actually very nervous about speaking to him. Any positive energy you guys could send our way would be much appreciated.

Hey guys, I'm kinda down and out here and could use some help. Its not huge stuff, just stressful, very stressful.

My work has slowed down because the states (no hard feelings) has been competing so hard in the labour market that I have little work/little cash coming in. So some prayers there would be helpful, since I have a lot of things I need to spend cash on. Girlfriends university, bills and other things. So thanks.

Also my sister has been going down a wrong road again. She's been 'off' since she had the miscarriage last year, and she seems to be quite self destructive. She gets stoned/drunk nightly, spends all her time with her boyfriend (Who I haven't met after months) and isn't focusing on bettering herself which she desperately needs to be doing. So some prayers there would be appreciated.

Thanks for taking the time guys, have a good one.

Hi everyone! I have a favor to ask... I know I am new here but I know someone that is in some serious need for support and help.
My hubby's uncles wife has Multiple Sclerosis that is deteriorating real fast, none of her medication is working anymore. So she has just begun an incredibly experimental stem cell treatment and her chances for pulling through are not that great... Apparently there have only been twelve of these treatments performed in Europe so far and not even half have been successful.
Anyway, whoever feels like sending out some good vibes for her, we would be grateful. She's going to need all the help she can get. Thanks beforehand! :)

:( I am sorry to hear that I will keep her in my thoughts
