Every moment of a life is a horrible tragedy, a slapstick comedy, dark nihilism, golden illumination, or nothing at all; depending on how we write the story we tell ourselves.
You remind me of the babe
What babe?
The babe with the power
What power?
The Power of voodoo
Who do?
You do!
Do what?

Unfortunately, we were too late. Somebody else (hopefully good people) have him instead.

You'll find another baby. The deities always have one that's in store for you. 10 years ago we went up to get my dog Sabrina when she was a puppy and her brother Wally ended up coming to me and I just couldn't let him go. He latched on to me and I him. So you'll find one.

Aw that's a shame. Hopefully he found someone perfect for him and you'll find someone perfect for you.

So K'Roe just spent 5 hours on the internet looking at dogs in near by cities. She found 4 about 30 minutes drive away, so we're off to the pound tomorrow!

So we did not get Lars, but that's OK, because now we have Milo (who's name will rapidly morph into Mellow).
Mellow is a typical tall, slim lanky mutt dog. He's that brown color that often refereed to as "red."He has a white blaze on his nose and chest, otherwise, color is solid.
He's about a year old. He was born at the shelter, and is the lat of the litter to be adopted. The reason is obvious - he's a shy dog. People go for the dogs that are outgoing - the one's that jump up at visitors - and avoid those that show slow development of trust prior to giving unconditional love.
I, myself, howsomewhatsomeebber, prefer to enjoy the faith and trust I have earned. So a dog like Mellow - shy and fearful now, will, at some time in the future, be comfortable in a family where he feels wanted, needed, has a role to fill, a job to do, and surrounded by people he can trust for affection and protection.
I can't post photos now because I don't want to scare him with camera flash, but imagine a "old school" cartoon dog, like Skooby-Doo. He even has one ear that sticks up in a triangle, while the other flops.
