Prayers for my Dad please

    Prayers for my Dad please

    Hi everyone,

    I would really appreciate it if you would send out prayers for my dad. Tomorrow he goes in to have surgery on his kidney to remove a stone that has been blocking his ureter. We're hoping it can be removed, if not, they might have to put a stint in then do another surgery. But send out good vibes if you would. Thanks.

                Thanks everyone. Well, they put a stent (hope I spelled it right) in to widen his ureter because they couldn't get up to his kidney to get the microscope in or laser in to destroy the stone. So we're hoping the stent will widen the ureter and drain the fluid around the kidney so they can get the tools they need in there. Otherwise they will have to go in from the side. He will be rescheduled for a couple of weeks for another surgery. He is not happy, but we're happy that he came out okay today. Thank you all for your prayers.

                      I had three stones (2 on one side, one on the other) when I was six. It's really painful, but not particularly dangerous. They do these operations all the time at my hospital, too. Thoughts for your dad, I'm sure it'll all work out fine.

                          My Dad is going for a second time tomorrow for another surgery. We're hoping that the stent they put in will have widened his ureter enough to insert the scope and laser to destroy the stone. It is 9mm. It's going to be another long day. He officially goes in at 12:30 pm. We have to be there though at 11:30am to go to the doctor's office to sign papers or something. So just pray for him again if you will.

                            I myself have never had to deal with this,but had a friend who did,and many best outcomes for your dad.
