    Chess

Do anybody play chess? I play chess a long time ago. I was a good chess player until the grandmasters show up. They beat me in 10 moves.

I enjoy chess in moderation. My older brother and I used to play it a lot, but while I'm decent at it, I wouldn't consider myself good at it by any means. I lose most of the games I play against him.

We play chess. I play chess poorly, but the Hubby is good. The kids are decent players, but Sharkbait is sneaky while Chickadee is pretty straightforward.

I've a question to ask everybody, do you think that I could beat a chess grandmaster? The reason why I'm asking because I'm thinking of playing chess again and my skill level at chess is pretty average. I beat so many unskilled players and I lost against skilled players.

Dedication and training trump talent. Playing Chess well is a skill and like any skill, it can be improved if you're willing to put in the effort. Just understand that the path to mastery involves losing hundreds if not thousands of games.

The total USA grand masters currently ranked is 89 ... That is how hard it is ... But if you practice a lot anything is possible ... The newest American is Jeffery Xiong (born 2000) is an American chessGrandmaster. He completed his final grandmaster norm at age 14 years, 6 months, 25 days in 2015.
I won't be wronged. I won't be insulted. I won't be laid a-hand on. I don't do these things to other people, and I require the same from them ... John Bernard Books

Indian Chief 'Two Eagles' was asked by a white government official; "You have observed the white man for 90 years. You've seen his wars and his technological advances. You've seen his progress, and the damage he's done."

              The Chief nodded in agreement.

The official continued; "Considering all these events, in your opinion, where did the white man go wrong?"

The Chief stared at the government official for over a minute and then calmly replied.. "When white man find land, Indians running it, no taxes, no debt, plenty buffalo, plenty beaver, clean water. Women did all the work, Medicine Man free. Indian man spend all day hunting and fishing; all night having sex."

Then the chief leaned back and smiled; "Only white man dumb enough to think he could improve system like that."

Eh, I'm somewhat good at chess. I can beat people I meet casually, but I only go a few rounds before being knocked out at tournaments. I don't practice, though, which is probably why I'm not better at it.

I used to be good at chess when I was a little girl. I have a chess set in storage. It looks like the one from the first X-Men movie. Got to find it.
