Great Phone App

Last night while trying to fall asleep, I decided to, for amusement's sake, see what my Verizon Play Store would pull up if I typed "Havamal" into the search function. Lo and behold, it called up an app called "Daily Asatru". While I'm not Asatru, I took a look at the description. Every day, when running the app, it will give you a stanza from the Havamal and the Voluspa, as well as randomly picking a rune. If offers both Bellows and Bray translations with a single touch. I decided that I had to have it.

Today, I noticed that the background changes each day as well. Yesterday (Wednesday) it was the Triple Horn of Odin, and today it's Mjolnir. Another pretty cool bonus!

Just thought I'd put this out there for those interested.

There used to be a program(not sure if it is still around) called the pagan book of days. Did a search and it seems to be gone now.

Liking this app I think my favourite bit about it is that it doesnt just update the verse each day, but only once youve seen it. So if you miss 3 days, you dont miss 3 verses!

Yeah, I'm really happy about this one! I check it every day, and even check the rune. So far, they've been pretty spot on, which surprises me because I tend to be skeptical of e-castings.

I just check the rune as a random reminder, and to test my knowledge, rather than an e-casting.

Which reminds me, I did a casting yesterday I need to put more thought into. Thanks!

I just downloaded it yesterday, $1.99 I think it's pretty cool. I've just started on practicing Asatru, so I know almost next to nothing of the Eddas, and nothing of runes. I've seen two verses already. The difference in translations of today's verse are pretty striking.
