Re: Whatcha thinking about now? (v2)

Lots of depression around lately. It is definitely a time to be vigilant about taking care of our mental health.

    Sounds like depression.

Not to intrude on your personal life, but medication mostly works for my issues.

I've noticed lately that I am just so fatigued and just don't have much of the will to do anything. I don't know what is the matter with me. I'm thinking it's my depression acting up. I just have to get over it. Get back into my passions again. I just need the energy.

I'm going to work on Monday. I'm going in to try some new recipes while there is no one there.

I've noticed I'm pretty bitter lately and should probably work on that but just don't have the will or want to.

Everything is based on perspective, but taking that thought down one popular road leads to trees falling in the forest without making a sound, or maybe not even falling at all, unless I was there in person to see it, and even then, once it's past, it isn't happening. I know someone who talks like that. It's a bit overboard for me, although I understand the building blocks of it.

I'm feeling like crap. I pulled a muscle in my lower back. Since about Friday I have been taking two muscle relaxers and an occasional muscle spasm medicine. It was helping but now it is starting back up again. I'm hoping it will go away soon.

Thanks for all the well wishes and support, guys. I needed to take a bit of time away before I responded. The funeral was last Monday, I could not attend. I spoke to my brother on the phone that day though, for the first time since we've become adults (8ish or so years). It was hard and sad to listen to him describe the accident and his feelings. I think he's going to pull through this okay though, and I haven't been as sad since we spoke. I think I felt a lot of guilt for not being around, but talking to him made me realize it's okay.

He's grown up into a good kid. Not sure if I can still call him a kid when he's 28, but...he's still a good kid. Things are still a little sad, but I think they'll be okay.

    Hi Anubisa!
I just started a physical job from pretty sedentary as well. It still hurts, but I think maybe I am noticing improvement. Fortunately, the part that hurts most is supposed to be temporary. I hope.

Thanks everyone. It's been a while since I have been working on my feet for about 8 hours. The last time was in Sheetz. That's been about 2 years. So I got to get my muscles built back up. I can do it! I also am looking forward to the vision and dental insurance after a month of working. I definitely need it. I got to get a crown.

Congratulations on the new job! McDonalds was my first job and I enjoyed it very much. Being on your feet will get easier as you go, make sure you've got some good shoes.

Congrats and I hope it goes well! I worked part time at a McD's in 1975. I wonder how different it is working there today. There was no breakfast, chicken, or drive through yet back then. The entire menu was hamburger, cheeseburger, Big Mac, quarter pounder, fries, shakes, sodas, coffee/tea and fried apple pies. Maybe the fillet-o-fish, maybe that came right after I left - not sure.
