This thread is where I'm going to post all those delicious yummy things that I like to make. If I got it from a source, I'll be linking the source, and if there's no source, it's probably a family secret.

Dubbed amongst my followers as the 'second best cookie ever':

Orange Oatmeal Cookies

1/2 cup butter
1 cup light brown sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp grated orange peel
1/4 cup orange juice
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg
2 cups oats
1/2 cup coconut
1/2 cup seeds/crushed nuts (whatever you have on hand will do. I like sunflower seeds or crushed pecans.)
1/2 cup cranberries
1/2 cup chocolate chips

In large bowl of mixer, cream butter and sugar until
fluffy. Beat in egg, orange peel and juice. Gradually
beat in flour, baking powder, soda, salt and nutmeg
until mixed. Stir in all other ingredients (oats, etc). It
should be so filled with ingredients that the cookie
barely holds together. This is good and tasty.
Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls on greased
cookie sheets. Bake in 350 degrees oven until golden
around edges.

Perfect Guacamole

1 ripe avocado
approx. 1 tsp of cumin spice
approx 1 tbsp of lemon juice

Peel and de-pit avocado, add all ingredients into a bowl, and use a fork to blend together.

(four exhausted students discovered this recipe on a field trip, because it was the only thing we had in the hotel room. None too shabby.)
