While reading one of my new books on spells ( Power spell-craft For life by Arin Murphy Hiscock ) i read on methods of gathering energy to the self to power your spell. though for the most part, i can only really picture these meditations or gatherings taking all of ones current attention and action. what of the occasion where a truly powerful spell was needed but you couldn't afford to spare the concentration normally necessary?
Does anyone know the effectiveness of gathering energy as effective as meditation but being able to focus on it as well as walking and talking to another person (most likely a person or persons who don't share your belief for magic) about a non related topic? as far as i can tell thats splitting the focus a lot of ways but if its doable, incredibly useful.
