      I ended up doing a "dumb supper". I intended to say things about those close to me who have passed on within the last year but couldn't do that without crying and going off track so I just kept quiet for once in my life! I had quite a few trick-or-treaters, and ran out of candy a few minutes before I was planning to turn the lights off anyway, so that went well.

        On the 30th did a house cleansing of spirits and energies...opened all the doors and windows, cabinets, drawers etc and did a thorough sage smudge. Then blessed salt sprinkled all over the house, and outside around the foundation.

        Yesterday, put up the ofrenda for Days of the Dead, burned copal incense, put out food and offerings for our dead loved ones. put out their pics or their names on cards if we didn't have a photo. LOTS of candles. We ate all our fave traditional DoD foods, and sat in front of the altar listening to music for a few hours. Will keep candles lit, food on the altar, flowers, incense until mid day on Sun when we say goodbye to our dead loved ones until next year.

          Because of the witchlets (and the distraction of Halloween), we've started doing Samhain the next day (which would be today)... So, dumb supper tonite!

            The hubster was supposed to have his surgery yesterday, but postponed it for superstition's sake. Instead we went to our new house & I fell over a pipe. Then I fought w/a non-working irrigation system for a few hours. Then we got nekkid & did stuff in the moonlight. Way better than surgery recovery, lol.

              It rained Halloween. In Southern Cali. With the drought. Lol at you trick or treaters.

                    We're due for lots of rain too. Been a bit overly dry this year. This summer will be a bad one if we dont get a decent down pour in the next month.

                    Kinda glad I won't be here for it lol, so we wont run outta water at least!

                      I was really sick, so I didn't do anything. I just watched a couple of scary movies and drank some ginger tea. Usually I like to do a bit of divination, but I didn't have the energy for it and I figured my runny nose would be too distracting.
