I came very close to running over a truck driver with a 6 ton forklift today. While loading his truck, he felt it was important to try to discuss with me how this town is going to crap because of "All those blacks and Ricans popping out runs like rabbits". Some days I just can't stand being around the people that I work with or have to deal with on a regular basis.

Well here's an odd change. My mother is angry with me and my father is happy and proud. My mother has decided my new career is dangerously stupid and wants me to go back to university for my PH.D, my father says I'm amazing for the courage to not only doing what I want but pissing off my mother in the process.... parents are weird and irritating sometimes.

As long as you do what you love and get enough money for it - go for it!

Yep I said my piece early on and checked in on it a few mins ago and turned right around and left. But I have a feeling another thread is going to get me a little angry. I do have a problem with keeping my mouth shut sometimes though. Well see how I do.

^^^ I saw a version of Goodfellas that was done like that. Hilarious (but only if you know the real deal).

The first time I saw Goodfellas, it was on network TV, so it gave me some amazing likes like, "did you tell him to go stuff himself?!".

Movies on TV that are censored to the point of being almost unwatchable like lethal weapon where when one says "Mother F*****" it comes out daubed as Mother fetcher,or some other weird thing...action heroes do not say things like that..

I aborted it after today. Meh. I found something on-line to occupy my attention: Shopping amazon for comfy socks with built into the price shipping. Just picked up some now shows 6 for $8.58

I'm doing contemporary amercan literature this semester, which I'm not big on (sorry, I just like Shakespeare and austen better... or at least poe or fitzgerald)... our teacher didn't upload courseplans 'til yesterday so we haven't had any chance of getting a head start, or even buying books! And we're averaging a novel a week. A headstart would have been nice. And the university expects us to be a week ahead on reading. Not an option now. To top it off, our teacher is american (no, that's not bad) with a really pronounced upspeak. Upspeak kind of annoys me, and we're told we shouldn't use it. When people are speaking she also has a tendency to just randomly make 'mhmmmm' noises, really loud high pitched nasals... ehm... so yea, first day of school. I'm annoyed. Also because I just spent 20 minutes in line at the bookstore only getting half my books because she didn't inform them what books were needed. Then another 20 to get my grammar book because the bookstore don't sell those so we have to buy prints from the uni press...

Having a grumpy day. I just don't want to be around people, and I know it and I know it's all in my head and that makes me even grumpier because I can't turn it off.

Also, my bosses are putting me into a couple of unpleasant situations at work and I'm not very pleased about it. The response to my doing my job well, constantly getting handed more work to do without more time to do it in and still being able to stay on top of it (mostly) is to increase the work load, give me a couple really horrible shifts, tell me I can't use a vacation day between now and my end date, and then wonder why I don't want to joke around about the missing turtle plushie.

I need a drink and a foot rub.
