A few days ago, weather models began to hint at the potential of a major East Coast blizzard. As of early Tuesday morning, those models are way more insistent.

We're projected right now to get 3 feet or more. Not sure about blizzard of the ages though as it was only a few years ago we had two three footers about a week apart near Christmas. Still going to be impacting on things though.

Wondering who writes their copy...I was in Albany when we got 4 feet in one evening..that was the same year Buffalo got 8 feet...

So much sensationalism in weather reporting now days. Every time we got a tropical storm when I lived in the South the Weather Channel line was unfailingly "Gulf Coast Slammed by Tropical Cyclone". No. It was a bit windy and rained.

Anyways, it doesn't look like we will get much in Vermont. Our snowfall so far is 2 feet below average. There's about 4 inches on the ground now but we didn't get any snow until shortly after Christmas and it was 70 on Christmas Eve.

Let hope that this really is the blizzard for the ages. Last year it was a dud in New York City.

Hm sounds like you want a THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW type event there BMH. Think i'll pass on that though I am further south

Ok let just say theoretically speaking if a big blizzard will hit the East Coast, That will be a rare event to happen. If the meteorologist is right about the big blizzard.

We had a barely visible trace of sleet here today, but the roads were so cold it stuck and there were a lot of accidents. They called off school for tomorrow in anticipation of a little more precipitation.

We don't know it there's going to be a big blizzard hitting the east coast. But don't get your hopes up if it's turn out to be a dud.
