While there is a sad reality to this, it also creates jobs. They can't install or fix themselves so that still requires humans. For now anyway.

Definitely true. But those new jobs require education and some people don't have it, can't afford it or don't have the qualifications that's required to have a job in tech. I think in the long term there are going to be less jobs than we can create with technology and it's a problem our governments are going to have to solve.

We're going to need huge changes in our society, like recreating our tax system and introducing something like a basic income, because there's simply not going to be enough jobs for the amount of people looking for one.

I wouldn't trust them with that. I'd rather we, the people, come up with solutions and then push them through the jaws of bureaucracy. However I do not think current generation incapability should hinder technological development.

Eventually it would be nice if no one had to *work* to live, but rather be able to partake in activities which fulfill their mind, body and soul regardless of income.

There's a primal urge that boils deep inside of me to destroy all robots...like leaping into the air with a giant spear and just driving it home; hurling the wooden missile into the mechanized demons, then stringing them up a tree, as the clump of wiring, bolts, and botic limbs swing to a fro like a grotesque pendulum, an ominous warning to any and all of his fellow robot tribe members; a clear sign saying, "DON'T TAKE OUR JOBS" hahahahaha. :XD laugh:
