What do different colors on the user list mean?
We have some special groups set up on pagan forum.com currently the following stands: Brown = Supporter Pink = Teen Staff Orange = Founder Green = Global Moderator Blue = Board Moderator Red = Administartor How do I get rid of the Ads?
The ads are there to bring some revenue into the forum, if you become a supporter then the option to remove the ads is available to yourself. How do I become a Supporter?
You can become a Supporter by clicking the "Donate" button which is located in the left menu bar. All donations will go toward the upkeep of the forum or otherwise specified such as our "Adopt A Pagan Forum Family" events. If you have any questions about donations, please direct them to any of our Staff members. What is the forum language?
The posting language on this forum is English, we do have several language packs available to users however we ask that all posts be in English. We do not mind if members post in another language, as long as they provide a translation for the other members whom do not speak said language. Thank you for your understanding. How do I insert and/or use YouTube in my posts?
Note: the first option is just a link, while the second option will actually put the video right into your post.
There are two ways of doing it. 1.) You can simply link to the page by copying the url into your posts (for example; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPONTneuaF4) 2.) You can embed the video into your post by copy/pasting the "embed code" from the YouTube page between the YouTube code provided by our forum. Code: [youtube=425,350](Place Embed Code from your YouTube page here)[/youtube] How does Karma/Wyrd work? What is it?
In each post, and in the member profile, you can view a person's Wyrd (or karma). Basically, it's a way to keep "score" of approval/disapproval ratings.
By clicking on applaud you can show your approval of a member's post, or smite: your disapproval. What follows is a space to enter the reason FOR the applaud or smite. In your own profile you can view a brief history of who has changed your Wyrd and also whose Wyrd you've changed. Note: Occasionally, during Forum updates, to save space, the history is cleared. The 'Wyrd' will not start over, but the 'history' will. What is the Profile Field on Registration for?
This field has been designed to allow users the oportunity to give some brief information about themselves (Religion, gender etc) to make it easier on other users and to save them needing to search when answering a post, so they dont offend you.
How do I insert and customize links?
This forum uses the coding style knows as BB Code. What is BBCode?
Quote BBCode is a special implementation of HTML. Whether you can actually use BBCode in your posts on the forum is determined by the administrator. In addition you can disable BBCode on a per post basis via the posting form. BBCode itself is similar in style to HTML, tags are enclosed in square brackets [ and ] rather than < and > and it offers greater control over what and how something is displayed. Depending on the template you are using you may find adding BBCode to your posts is made much easier through a clickable interface above the message area on the posting form. Even with this you may find the following guide useful. 1) To insert a link you may either copy and paste the url directly. Code: http://www.phpbb.com/community/faq.php?mode=bbcode 2) Or, you may customize the link by giving it a tag: Code: [url=http://www.phpbb.com/community/faq.php?mode=bbcode]BBCode Guide[/url] which will look like this: BBCode Guide |
