This should probably be in unpopular opinions, but I agree. Aside from the fact that it is fun to say, its way overrated as a hot sauce.

Honestly, I like the flavor of Sriracha and use it for that much much more than the heat of it. If I'm looking for heat, I'll add a little homemade scotch bonnet puree to the dish.

While out walking the dog I found a load of lobster mushrooms and boletes:



I had to toss the huge one, it was buggy, but here's what was left with after cleaning:

What I'm not eating - found two big, fat boletes and was going to have them for breakfast. On identification, though, they are not particularly good to eat.

There are very few of those chains left here. But when I was working in another city helping out another store, there was one across the street. Turkey dinners every night! So good.

Gonna ask Duce,are you old enough to remember Doggy Diner? I doubt anyone outside California ever heard of them. I loved their fries and burgers..

Checked and Doggie diners were only in the SF Oakland bay area...Here is a pic..

Considered so iconic in the bay area that SF designated the last one still in SF to be a city landmark...Ya had to be there...they did dogs and burgers and fries to compare to Micky D's
