I tried being Christian, in the belief that it was true, but over ten years there was not a single substantial correlation between my prayers and real life. If I had remained Christian, you couldn't even call it mere superstition. At least there is correlation in superstition. I would have had as much success praying to my own backside. That, to me, is an utterly fictitious god.
