    Skepticism does not, necessarily, reduce imagination.

    A skeptic imagines a variety of possible explanations, them looks for the one that best fits the facts.

    A believer imagines an explanation, then cherishes it.
    Every moment of a life is a horrible tragedy, a slapstick comedy, dark nihilism, golden illumination, or nothing at all; depending on how we write the story we tell ourselves.

        I wrote a piece and submitted it as well. They probably won't accept it because, you know, I'm a loon, but I thought I'd try anyway ::

        I'm also thinking about a submitting an essay as well because they need a bit of something to laugh at - they get so seriously spiritual...

                I love The Atlantic. The articles are well written and insightful- I can forgive it for sometimes being a bit liberal-ish. That was a good read.
