    The Decline of Humanity

Yes I know it's everywhere. You can't throw a rock without hitting someone or something that is an excellent example of the sad state of Midgard. Yes our World has wonderful things but far FAR to many horrible things. ISIL, JSIL, whiny people with authority, healthy food. The list goes on. Now you may ask what can be done about it? Educating people would be a start but so many are resistant to that radical idea. Hmm. The motto of many nations, mine included, should be: If it makes sense don't do it.

Every day we make choices between what's right and what's easy. You can give up and choose the easy way. If you want the world to become a better one, do what's right.

The truth is,and always has been..the world will not change to please you. You are just a single person, and the whole world could care less about your personal wants. Mainly you can get in line or find a place away from the world, but truthfully no one is going to change for you.

Pretty much this. We may help one another, create bonds of friendship. But I sincerely doubt one person will ever change for another.

Sadly this is true. I wish it wasn't.

You'd be surprised. Emotion can be a good motivator. I used to have a friendship with someone who would try and manipulate me(which didn't work) and was really emotional. She had BPD and I had never heard of it at the time. BPD being Borderline Personality Disorder. But, when she felt she wasn't in control of the situation she would try to manipulate me into letting her have it. Usually, we would get into it because she would say some really vile stuff to me. She also threatened to kill herself a lot, which didn't faze me, which only made me her mad. Anyway, people with bpd have some abandonment issues, and, she was scared of me leaving or whatever. Well, she kept on saying this and that, threatening this and that, she wasn't worth my time, anymore. Sounds harsh...ish, but it was the truth. She expected me to handle her emotions and mine and would get upset because I looked at her some type of way. Again, anyway, keep losing my focus, but I cut her off like 6 months ago. She quit smoking and got herself into DBT which is a type of therapy for those with BPD to help them with control and other things. I hear DBT is a life-saver for some of them. Anyway, she's a lot better now and more in control of herself. So, she changed in a way because she ended up being abandoned, again, and she didn't want that. So sometimes a person can change for another. But not all the time. Not saying she was changing for me, and I completely lost my point in this comment.
"Turn, and look in the mirror. What do you see?" Her own brown eyes stared back at her until she was nothing but a blur.

"I see you. Red lipstick spread perfectly over your lush mouth, brown eyes that hold centuries upon centuries of secrets. A face made to entice even the most celibate of men and women alike. A red dress that sways and moves with your body, making you a temptation like no other."

I do not care about myself. I care for others. All the want for the world to change it will be for them. I am not a Democratic Socialist in an effort to make myself happy.

Why don't you care about yourself? You'd think yourself and your happiness would be your main priority.

I have been betrayed a lot. By "friends" by my first love, by my father. I must be a horrible person. In fact the reason I love my cat so much is because animals are far more loyal than people.

You're right, emotion plays a great deal in the whole story. It's just so hard to find sincerity these days.

One event that happened like 15 years ago stand out the most. This girl we got along but out of nowhere she made a comment that was insulting I cannot remember what she said but I asked her "Were you joking?" She said "No, and take a shower." First off I have unusually high metabolism I have to eat a lot just to break even and as a bi-product of that I sweat...ALOT and I live in hot Florida. I remember quite well asking myself "What did I do wrong?" I asked that a lot then a true friend said: "That's just her being her." As for my father his first betrayal was when I was a baby when he put me up for adoption after my mother died from a drug overdose. I was adopted by my Grandmother who he lived with but from then until now he's been in jail or prison half of my life. Plus time and time again he chose a blackmailing former crack whore over me. My first love, heh, our relationship was failing it was clear and her love for me became twisted and she used blackmail to try and keep me. That blackmail was that if I didn't stay with her she would go to the police and say I raped her. But somewhat shortly after she admitted she really wouldn't do that and I got rid of her. My life is like a modern bizarre version of a Greek and Norse tragedy. My life now has good parts but because of the treatment of a woman I love by people that are suppose to help her and them retaliating against me for helping her doesn't make things much better now. I am not a happy person.
