No no no no no no no
Ziggy Stardust lives for ever!
Say it ain't so!Every moment of a life is a horrible tragedy, a slapstick comedy, dark nihilism, golden illumination, or nothing at all; depending on how we write the story we tell ourselves.

Re: Rest in peace, Bowie
I rarely get actually emotional about celebrity deaths, but when I heard the news, I cried. I feel like my youth is shattered, and I think the world lost a serious talent. He kind of felt immortal, like he'd always be there to reinvent himself and make amazing music.

Why is there a thumbs up next to my thread title?I'm not one to ever pray for mercy
Or to wish on pennies in the fountain or the shrine
But that day you know I left my money
And I thought of you only
All that copper glowing fine

I heard the second I turned on my phone, my sister in law wrote. I'm still crying so sad... and I'm not usually emotional over celebrities either. But this really hits hard. You remind me of the babe

Poor guy. I'm glad he's out of pain. I watched Labyrinth for the first time last year and loved it. I will have to watch some of his other works.Anubisa

Re: Rest in peace, Bowie
I saw this right before I went to bed this morning, and I figured I just misread something in my tired state. Now I know it's true. A true talent has left us. Thank you for the gift of one last album.

Still haven't recovered from the shock. On his birthday, his official Facebook page posted a picture of him, where I thought he looked sick, but I figured it was probably makeup for a video or something... just watched Lazarus, some parting gift he left us.You remind me of the babe
