But people believe this. It's not just him. I'm not sure where people get this from, but it seems to be a common theme going all the way back to the Rush Limbaughs of Darwin's contemporaries.
“You have never answered but you did not need to. If I stand at the ocean I can hear you with your thousand voices. Sometimes you shout, hilarious laughter that taunts all questions. Other nights you are silent as death, a mirror in which the stars show themselves. Then I think you want to tell me something, but you never do. Of course I know I have written letters to no-one. But what if I find a trident tomorrow?" ~~Letters to Poseidon, Cees Nooteboom

“We still carry this primal relationship to the Earth within our consciousness, even if we have long forgotten it. It is a primal recognition of the wonder, beauty, and divine nature of the Earth. It is a felt reverence for all that exists. Once we bring this foundational quality into our consciousness, we will be able to respond to our present man-made crisis from a place of balance, in which our actions will be grounded in an attitude of respect for all of life. This is the nature of real sustainability.”
    ~~Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee

"We are the offspring of history, and must establish our own paths in this most diverse and interesting of conceivable universes--one indifferent to our suffering, and therefore offering us maximal freedom to thrive, or to fail, in our own chosen way."
~~Stephen Jay Gould, Wonderful Life: The Burgess Shale and the Nature of History

"Humans are not rational creatures. Now, logic and rationality are very helpful tools, but there’s also a place for embracing our subjectivity and thinking symbolically. Sometimes what our so-called higher thinking can’t or won’t see, our older, more primitive intuition will." John Beckett

Is it getting worse, or does it just seem that way?

These days I get scared. America is weirding out.

I like being exposed to different ideas, but I like to see some kind of evidence that they aren't just pulled out of somebody's spincter.

He's one of America's most widely respected imbeciles.

And actually, I'd call him gorilla like, if I had much less respect for gorillas.

And some how he managed to NOT end up in the slammer even though he got caught faking prescriptions for major pain pills. Anyone else would be cooling their heels in the lockup.

    - - - Updated - - -

Now see here, how he copped a plea.

Now being addicted is one thing, and you get to go to rehab....BUT forging prescriptions is a criminal act that usually gets you time in Jail.

Rush Limbaugh and prosecutors in the long-running prescription fraud case against him have reached a deal calling for the only charge against the conservative commentator to be dropped without a guilty plea if he continues treatment, his attorney said Friday.

Who did he pay off, everyone else would go to Jail.

It just seems that way I think.

Its always been this bad, its just that you only knew the crazy by you---now you know the global crazy, 24/7, in your face.

Like right now, I have to overhear the military guy that works in the office where my office is (I have a cubicle with a door that is about 1/4 of the space of a larger office area shared by 6-8 people) listen to some serious Connie BS propaganda.

Seems like they confuse their theories. If everything was made in a week, then it would all evolve at about the same rate, so everything would be a human now. That's the "logic" there.

Can you hear me, Major Tom? I think I love you.
