    Explosion in NW Portland

    I don't suspect anyone here really follows news from PDX but in case anyone is interested. Currently being covered live at http://www.kgw.com/mb/news/explosion...land/338404014

    I was several miles away when it happened, but still shocked. Glad there were no fatalities but several did get injured in the blast. My thoughts are with them.

      Very scary!

      I'm glad nobody was killed, and I hope the injured recover quickly.
      Every moment of a life is a horrible tragedy, a slapstick comedy, dark nihilism, golden illumination, or nothing at all; depending on how we write the story we tell ourselves.

        Wow! That is scary. One of my high school classmates was killed not long ago when the house blew up. Around here it's pretty much only meth houses that blow.

          I'm glad no one was killed. Wow! Gas can be very dangerous! I'm glad you weren't near that area Juniper.

            What I read in the story was a construction crew was digging,and hit a gas main.
