Re: Whatcha thinking about now? (v2)

Good luck Shahaku! I know you've worked hard on your program and I hope you can see it through. Anubisa, new mattresses are so worth it. I never realized it until I got the purple mattress a few years ago. Such a difference in sleep quality--as in I actually slept.

Got a convention coming up next week and I'm so excited and ready for it. I keep wanting to pack but it's not yet time.

I’m feeling kinda down. I’ve been waiting more than 24 hours for a call now, and nothing. I’ve been waiting at Barnes and Noble, drinking coffee, reading a good book. I decided to take a peak at jobs in my current field (central sterile) and there’s a director position open... I applied for it. I don’t quite meet all the qualifications as far as specific experience, but I’ve been in this field for 5 years now and have been a lead and stepped into the managers shoes for a few months while they worked on hiring a new one. It’s not what I wanted to do with the rest of my life, but if I don’t pass this clinical this semester I’m done for on this career path anyway, which sucks because, student loans.

I wondered if he could ever understand that it was a blessing, not a sin, to be graced with more than one love.
It could be complicated; of course it could be complicated. And it opened one up to the possibility of more pain and loss.
Still, it was a blessing I would never relinquish. Love, genuine love, was always a cause for joy.

        Shahaku-
I have never before crossed my fingers for someone that there will be a small rash of deaths in their area. It is a conundrum. I hope the right thing happens. It would be good to have someone thoughtful and caring move into a career caring for the dead, and the people they leave behind.

I thought I would share one of my assignments with one of you all. It has been a trying week, but I really like how this assignment turned out. It has a verse from one of my favorite poems called The Highwayman. Look it up sometime and read it.

You read it left to right, top to bottom. I hope you like.

life itself was a lightsaber in his hands; even in the face of treachery and death and hopes gone cold, he burned like a candle in the darkness. Like a star shining in the black eternity of space.

            Yoda: Dark Rendezvous

"But those men who know anything at all about the Light also know that there is a fierceness to its power, like the bare sword of the law, or the white burning of the sun." Suddenly his voice sounded to Will very strong, and very Welsh. "At the very heart, that is. Other things, like humanity, and mercy, and charity, that most good men hold more precious than all else, they do not come first for the Light. Oh, sometimes they are there; often, indeed. But in the very long run the concern of you people is with the absolute good, ahead of all else..."

"You come from the Lord Adam and the Lady Eve", said Aslan. "And that is both honour enough to erect the head of the poorest beggar, and shame enough to bow the shoulders of the greatest emperor on earth; be content."

I have some family pics and have been trying to figure out exactly when they were taken. I'm proud of my detective work! There's a wall calendar in the background, but it's too fuzzy to see other than the month started on a Saturday. I narrowed it down from other pics taken on the same day with me and my grandparents in them, that I was somewhere around 3 years old. My mother was wearing sandals so it wasn't Thanksgiving or Christmas. The year I turned 4, my birthday (summertime) was on a Friday, so it makes sense that they'd have had the grandparents over on either the Sat.or Sun. after, which coincides with the calendar and made it my 4th b-day party. 1961. Ta-da! LOL

I talked to the Morgantown Dance Studio today and I wanted to check out when they were going to have their spring classes. I found out they were going to have classes next week. So I also asked if they were having ballet classes. They have tap and other types, but I took ballet classes when I was young. So I asked when I could come in. She said that I could come in on Thursday and take a class. I had to order some ballerina slippers. I was surprised I could find some in my size. I'm hoping it will help me with back and stretching.
