Re: Whatcha thinking about now? (v2)

Well I had a pretty good interview at Dairy Queens. Had to drive to Fairmont. It was about 20 miles. After my interview I went to the urgent care clinic to check on my toe. I tripped over my rug yesterday. It turns out I have a small fracture at the upper part of my left big toe. They gave me a shoe to wear for about a month while it heals. I'm glad I went. It's still bruised and probably will be that way till next week. Nothing to do tomorrow so hopefully I can take a nice long nap.

Unexpected Home Repairs, 2019: Chapter 1 LOL

I left in the car, the garage door closed normally, and when I got home, it wouldn't open fully. It opened about an inch and closed again. Thinking it was the battery in the car's remote, I parked and went in through the front door and tried it from inside the garage. Nope. Pulled the string to try & open it manually, also nope. So i figured a spring must be broken. Called 3 places (now, remember I'm in backwater nowheresville). One guy said they couldn't come before Monday, but then another called back, asked me to text him a pic of the springs, and came right back with a price and said they could be here in an hour. And they were! So that's fixed. Getting something done the same day around here is nothing short of miraculous, so I'm very happy. Springs are good for 10,000 cycles so it should last me for life, or close.

That's good to hear Hawk. Hopefully you won't have something like that happen in a long long time.

I am now sick. There's a chance I caught it from my daughter who was also sick, but given the fact that it's only been a couple days since she was sick there's a good chance that I got it from the sick coworker who was forced to come in by my stupid boss last weekend. UGH.

            Answering your question here Anu:

I'm doing fine. I have to admit I'm a bit disconnected from what's happening in France at the moment. Been focusing much more on my own priorities and endeavors. Some protests about gas prices and other stuff that widens the gap between the rich and the middle class.

Changed my bed sheets, took a shower, and am feeling better somewhat. My sinuses are still killing me and my nose is stuffed. I am hoping I will start feeling this sinus pressure go away. Been taking sudafed for like two days and it doesn't seem to relieve everything. Well, I just might have to fight through it.

I totally feel you. I have been in nonstop yuck since Saturday afternoon and even with mucinex it's not budging. Head pounding, constantly exhausted, it's Tuesday and my third day that I'll likely sleep the majority of the day. I woke up at 630 and couldn't get back to sleep but it's not even 8 and I feel like taking a lie down. And anytime I go too long without taking some medicine my temp starts going back up. Thankfully I already had a doc appointment scheduled for today so I'll be able to have her listen to my lungs, etc. I think I may have bruised a rib... it doesn't feel so bad that I think I fractured it, but it definitely hurts when I cough.

Everyone in my household has had this bug, but it's hit me far harder... and I'm the only one who had their flu shot. I can't really say they're connected, but it's the only vaccine I feel iffy getting, and I resent having to get it every year (because I work in a hospital), so my mind is saying "yeah.... just look at that. Everyone else feels better, why not you? Flu shot maybe?" UGH.

I think that I have a sinus infection and that I might go to the urgent care clinic tomorrow. I've been trying to fight through this crap and do as the doctor told me on Friday, but I still feel like crap and my sinuses are causing a major headache all day and my throat is sore and the nose is dry. It's just plain ridiculous. If I go I hope that they'll take me serious.

Hopefully there's something they can do. I went in yesterday and I have a sinus infection and RSV... They gave me antibiotics for the sinus infection and I do feel like I'm getting better already, but the respiratory is just going to have to run its course which sucks. Sometimes they can't medicate it, and I get that. It's important not to overdo antibiotics.

I didn't go today, but I will probably go tomorrow. Still feeling like crap. I got upset today. My nephew has been acting out since after Christmas on the bus. He's been hitting kids and we (dad, mom, sis, and I) don't know why. This all started after Christmas. We don't know if it is because he isn't getting enough attention or what. Today he hit a girl on the bus and I talked to Miss Renee, his bus driver, and she asked me to have my sister call her. We might have to drop him off and pick him up if this keeps going on. He's starting to act like a spoiled brat.

I sleep from around midnight until 9am. My brother-in-law goes to sleep between 3-5am and gets up between noon and 2pm. I know folks that work overnight and sleep on a schedule like yours. It all depends on when you need to be awake. If you're sleeping those hours because it works with your working life, what's wrong with that?

On a different note, I noticed yesterday that I hadn't done any of my homework for the week (due today). And I have a proctored quiz next Monday. I got all but two of my assignments done, but I have a lot of catching up to do from being sick.
