      Re: Music Thread

I'll post three songs from Damh The Bard if you people want more songs posted, add them up in this thread! Because Damh The Bard has a huge repertoire and posting it all in one shot by me would be called spamming! But being posted by you people would be called just posting.

          Re: Music Thread

Let's post some song about a French rap guy... yeah rap... I hate rap... but these guys makes it almost likable.
Their name is Manau... they rap in Celtic themes.

Mais qui est la belette? (But whom's the weasel?)

(main chorus, the only interesting part).
I heard the wolf, the fox and the weasel.
I heard the wolf and the fox singing.

La tribu de Dana (The tribe of Dana)

(I corrected several translation errors by the author, and should have got most of em... but there might be some remaining)
The wind blows on the plains
of Armorican Brittany, I throw a last glance on my wife, my son and my lot.
Akim, the son of the blacksmith came to seek me,
druids decided to carry out the combat in the valley.
          There, where all our ancestors,
          of Celtic warriors,
after great battles, asserted themselves as Masters,
it is the hour to hold and defend our land
against an army of Cimerians ready to clash in battle.
All the tribe met around large menhirs,
to call upon the gods so that they can bless us.
After this prayer with my brothers without making state of zeal,
the leaders gave us to all mouthfuls of mead,
          for courage,
          without any fail,
to remain tall and proud when we are in the battle because it is the first time for me which I leave to fight
and I hope to be worthy
          of the tribe of Dana.

In the valley of Dana La! Li! La!
In the valley I could hear the echoes.
In the valley of Dana La! Li! La!
In the valley of the battle songs close to the tombs.

After some incantations of druids and magic, all the tribe,
the glaive in one hand running towards the enemy,
the fight was terrible and I saw only the shadows,
slicing the enemy who always returned in greather numbers.
My brothers fell one after the other in front of my glance,
under the weight of the weapons which all these barbarians had,
of the lances, the axes and the swords in the garden of Eden
which flown with blood on green grass of the plain.
          Like these days of sorrow
          where the man drag himself
to the end of the reign
          of the evil and hate,
          we must continue this
          already lost fight,
but such was the pride of all the tribe,
the fight continued like that until sunset,
of extreme ferocity in addition to zeal,
was necessary to defend the ground of our ancestors
buried there and for all the laws
          of the tribe of Dana.

In the valley of Dana La! Li! La!
In the valley I could hear the echoes.
In the valley of Dana La! Li! La!
In the valley of the battle songs close to the tombs.

At the far reaches of the valley we heard the sound of a horn,
of an enemy lord who called back all his horde,
had he understood that we would fight even in hell
and to the tribe of Dana these grounds belongs.
          The warriors went away,
          I did not understand
all the way that they went to stand there,
when I glanced all around me,
I was the only one standing of the tribe, that is why.
          My fingers lost their grip
          thus releasing my weapons
and along my cheeks started to run tears,
I never understood why the gods let me live
of this black day of our history which I told.
The wind always blows on Armorican Brittany
and I have came back to my wife, my son and my lot,
I rebuilt all with my hands to get to where I am now,
          I became king
          of the tribe of Dana.

In the valley of Dana La! Li! La!
In the valley I could hear the echoes.
In the valley of Dana La! Li! La!
In the valley of the battle songs close to the tombs.

You know people... one the favorite Moderator and made most fun of, or having fun with here is Dumuzi.
This guy has been through everything life could have thrown him and still is in one piece... physically and mentally.
              That includes War.
He is very liked here for swating the misconceptions about Islam and he's doing a fine job at it. So why not applaud this great guy with two songs from a known artist to him.... Yusuf Islam.
