    The Frazzled Teacher's Wellness Plan.
Every moment of a life is a horrible tragedy, a slapstick comedy, dark nihilism, golden illumination, or nothing at all; depending on how we write the story we tell ourselves.

Just started reading Women and Worship at Philippi: Diana/Artemis and Other Cults in the Early Chrisitan Era by Valerie A. Abrahamsen, (ISBN 1-885349-00-9). It's based upon women's studies and influences and discoveries at the town of Philippi in archaic Macedonia / Thracian influences. Referred to Philippians in the bible verses which is used as one aspect of compare and contrast. Only a chapter into it yet has been an interesting read so far.

Finished The Great Influenza. I want to wear a mask and gloves. All year long.

Now reading Feed. A zombie book (part 1 of 3) taking place 25 or so years after the rising of the zombies. And how people are living and getting back to daily life.

Dogs Who Know When Their Owners are Coming Home, Rupert Sheldrake. Pretty fascinating. Got my husband to see if the animals anticipate my arrival, and it seems that they do, no matter when or how I arrive and well before I am actually on our street.

I am in the middle of a psychology book called "How to treat yourself and people". It's written in Russian.
A very useful thing, it is. I have already managed to use some of its principles. Perhaps writing them down and making my own notes (in a separate paper and adding it to the book) will help me to understand more?

Gender Failure by Rae Spoon and Ivan Coyote. It's their story about the failure of the gender binary system, and it's amazing.

Illustrations in Questionable Judgement by the Internet.
life itself was a lightsaber in his hands; even in the face of treachery and death and hopes gone cold, he burned like a candle in the darkness. Like a star shining in the black eternity of space.

                            Yoda: Dark Rendezvous

"But those men who know anything at all about the Light also know that there is a fierceness to its power, like the bare sword of the law, or the white burning of the sun." Suddenly his voice sounded to Will very strong, and very Welsh. "At the very heart, that is. Other things, like humanity, and mercy, and charity, that most good men hold more precious than all else, they do not come first for the Light. Oh, sometimes they are there; often, indeed. But in the very long run the concern of you people is with the absolute good, ahead of all else..."

John Rowlands, The Grey King by Susan Cooper

"You come from the Lord Adam and the Lady Eve", said Aslan. "And that is both honour enough to erect the head of the poorest beggar, and shame enough to bow the shoulders of the greatest emperor on earth; be content."

Finished the audiobook Feed by Mira Grant. Great character driven book. Zombies being the catalyst to the characters and not the actual main event. I got caught up emotionally with both the narrators too! And now I'm going on to her follow up called Deadline: Newsflesh trilogy book 2.
