Would a shabti be a good offering to an egyptian god. Has anyone everdone this before

Shabti, as far as I know, were meant to be a "stand-in" of sorts for the dead and so weren't offered to the gods.

Shabti are minature figurines with incantations. When the incantation is recited (written on the shabti) they came to life to do the work that the dead person was called to do-since in the afterlife one could be called to work in the fields and whatnot. Think of it as a sort of gollum.Circe
