Talking about wine .... :) A never ending subject - and a pleasant one. I remember that I started a thread about wine in the old forum - and would like to start a thread about wine again now. To begin the talk I ask: Do you remember the wine that you had most recently? What was it - and how was it? :)

So now I start a thread about beer!

I'm afraid I don't like Newky Brown! I have a really bad reaction to it, like it seems to make me twice as drunk/hungover as any other beer. Also it tastes very 'caramel' and commercialised to me. I used to drink a lot of Guiness... once went into a pub in my uni town, asked for one and the Greek guy behing the bar went 'a whole pint? for you? but you're so small!' he even held his hand out at my head height to indicate the small bit (he's right, I'm 5' tall but that never stopped me before) Being chief taster for my Dad's homebrew from about the age of 15 has given me something of a taste for beer. :P These days stout and porter and other dark beers are an 'if I'm in the mood' thing. A lot of my favourite day to day beers are pale ales like Wychcraft, Fursty Ferret and Hopping Hare. When I find myself in a pub with a selection of local beers, no distracting music and some good company I'm pretty much in heaven

It's ok. I like beer and I used to enjoy it a lot more, but often it makes me really sick now, so I don't have it that often.

I like light beer such as Corona Light or Michelob Ultra. I know, that makes me a non-connoisseur LOL

                  Killian's: amber lager

Im a fan of heavy, and dark drinks. I have never had a Killian's Irish Red until this afternoon. Its brewed in the irish tradition but its brewed in the states. Nothing wrong with that ! It still taste wonderful ! I would buy this again.

I also love beer. I like domestic brews from EBC, a local brewery in a town near mine. Unfortunately, I'm 19, and in the US the drinking age is 21. It's really easy to get around it though :P

Yesterday I enjoyed a Guinness in an Irish Pub in Heidelberg.

                          Beer is good
I like many types of beer from around the world(Except Belgium for some reason)Warsteiner, Weihenstephaner, Zywiec, Guinness, New Castle, Sapporo, Stieegl, Bass ale(Ummm Black&Tan's), and many more. Here in Michigan we are lucky to have one of the largest selections of micro brewers any where in the U.S.. Locally(Down the street)There is Dragonmead with over thirty of their beers on tap. Another micro that I enjoy is Dark Horse brewing company, their IPA(Crooked Tree)and black beer are out standing. We also have BELL'S with to many beers to name. I would also like to doff my hat to Mr.Corbin who makes a very find selection of home brew. In short I like a good flavorful beer anytime.
Gargoyles watch over me...I can hear them snicker in the dark.

I am not the least bit refined when it comes to beer and I like it cheap - Miller Lite and Pabst Blue Ribbon for me. Now and then I'll have Yuengling.

My favourite beer is a lager called Oak brewed at a Pub called 'The Druid's Arms' in my home town of Loughborough, England.
