Star Trek Beyond.

It's taken me a long time to warm up to the new cast (except, surprisingly, Quinto, who I liked right away), but I'm there now. Very good stuff here.

I just watched the Jem movie and I am truly pissed. I didn't think I would watch it, but I sat down and gave it a chance. I think the only thing they got right was the damned hair and looks of the girls. Everything else was a complete crap. Synergy was nothing like the Synergy of the show. They got nothing right from the show practically. They changed Eric Raymond to Erica Raymond. It was just crap. I know people have to do updates when they are going to do makes of 80s cartoon shows, like Transformers for example, but this was not true to the show at all. I am truly disappointed.

Just watched "Point break" the remake of the 1991 version. I always liked the 1991 version,but the new one has a LOT of action scenes. The new one does not follow the older version as to plot. Lot of action extreme sport stuff.

Worth the watch,but if you like the original,you might find this version very different.

I got Amazon Prime membership and one of the free movies that I was scrolling through was a movie called 'Boo.' It is a movie about these kids entering an abandoned hospital on Halloween. Yeah I know. Sorta cheesy. However, I liked it. You don't find a lot of good asylum or hospital scary movies anymore. And if you do they are made to look taped by the actors. I don't like that. Well I am going to look for more movies in the Prime list.

I saw "The Accountant" this weekend. Loved it. Anyone remotely Spock-ish will totally get it!

Imperium (Daniel Radcliffe goes undercover as a KKK member type person)
The Machine(the robot who can pass the Turing test)
Automata (Antonio Banderas is a cop in the future where automatons live)
The Signal (some drugged out movie. I must have been drugged)
The Conjuring 2(meh)
Free State of Jones (true story with Macaonahaaaay alright alright doing civil war things and a true story to boot!) GREAT movie!
Sicario (thumbs way up. Intense border movie)In.Tenseeeeeeeeee.
Closer to God (meh horror)
Jacob's Ladder (still creepy and so effing depressing)

Watched "Keanu" the movie...Weird combo of "Gangster" movie and cute cat heaven.

I watched Casablanca for the billionth time yesterday. I always remember the love story part, but the whole premise is about refugees. Interesting how the American portrayal of them has changed since then.

Also one of my Favs Hawk..I own a few Bogart movies.."We're no Angels" is a favorite.

Those refugees were white Christians, with a Jew or two tossed in.
