Oh it's just going to be one of those 10 gallon starter kits for like $29.99. My co-worker used to work at Petsmart, so he's giving me all the pointers on what to buy etc. I have a big heavy duty wooden desk that's in a nook of my room. I'm going to set it there. I'm going to do like 4 little fishies and some scenery.

I remember a dentist that had several large tanks in his waiting room,and they really soothed my dental tension(I had a phobia about dentists,now eased with dentures) also soothing music,smart dentist.

That's what I started out with, and the one I have now isn't all that much bigger. It's also right next to the kitchen sink so water changing is a doddle! I have 2 goldfish, Kenny (used to be called Felix but JP insisted we call it Kenny after the character from the Walking Dead video games) and Clementine (also after a character in the games). Unfortunately, I just found out that Clem is a boy fish! Not sure how to break that to JP.

You have to switch their light on and off as close to sunrise and sunset as possible (or have them near a window, but not in direct sunlight). Then wait until spring. If you're lucky, the males will develop breeding tubercles, little white dots on the gills, head and pectoral fins. They differ from white spot/ich in the location and formation, but otherwise look similar.

An absence of tubercles doesn't necessarily mean the fish is a female though. We've only had Clem 2 years and this is the first time she's had them. Kenny has been developing them for a while.

I generally just whisper it to them quietly when the lights are low, after a nice bottle of wine.

It's very easy, you wait until about noon time, and then put some food in one corner of the tank away from the fish. If he eats the food, it's male. If she eats the food, it's female.

My sister in law gave mea ukulele today she knew I wanted to play, and she just bought a new one so she gave me her old. That's really sweet now I just gotta learn

'Meal Prepped' my work lunches for the next four days (I close every night). By meal prep I mean I made a batch of spaghetti sauce. I think this one is a keeper. It had mushrooms and I added a can of petite crushed tomatoes and some Italian seasoning to the mix. It smells great! I also got whole wheat pasta to add to it.
