Lammas

Today is Lammas or the Festival of the Wheat Harvest. While no longer do most of us depend to the Harvest as our ancestors did, perhaps we can take that which we've gained, and the lessons we've learned from the Summer months so far and take inventory. Reflect on what we have and prepare for the months ahead.

Maybe take in some of the local Summer offering from your area too.

Re: Lammas

Still winter here. People have been suspecting an early spring (it's been rather warm the past week), but we still have all of August to go. It's technically just been Imbolc here, but with Idul Fitri (the end of Ramadhan) just around the corner, I'm choosing to do all the celebrating at the one time, in about 5 days. The whole rebirth things tie in fairly well with the end of fasting.

I'm hoping to be able to find some Myakka soon too. Local bush tucked I recently discovered that should be ripe soon, not to mention some warmer weather!
