    Art Tutorials

I know a few people who have said "oh I can't draw" or "I could never learn" or some other things along those lines. Well....why not a thread with some of the more awesome tutorials we've found or have made to help others.

Here's one that I just finished. It's a start to finish drawing all the way to painting for one that I finished a little while ago, but the tutorial took quite a bit longer than anticipated.

I originally posted them here at the forum. There are a few others around here somewhere...

I sold that box on Etsy.

As soon as I listed it, it took off like a skyrocket - I've never sold anything that fast before!

Here's another couple of tutorials I did and posted here:

This one sold fast on Etsy, too.

And here's one about making stuff out of bone -

Here is one of my favorite ways to create art. Mixed Media Technique. Very modern very creative and useful in so many ways. Carla van den Berg shows a really good example for a MM Painting. Enjoy!

Out of sheer curiosity, since a lot of you have seen my work, how would you guys feel about me doing something along the lines of a Bob Ross style art tutorial video set of doing paintings and whatnot? Would anyone bother watching it?

There's a lot of those out there...have you played around on Youtube? Not to say yours wouldn't be something different, but expect much competition.

Lol I know how many there are out there, which is why I was wondering if off hand anyone would even consider watching them for any reason. Was also thinking instead of just painting, I could also do my woodburning

I watch them occasionally, usually when I'm curious about how an artist accomplished something I'm trying and failing to do. So, would I watch yours? Probably not, since I don't do much traditional art these days but I'm actually pretty accomplished with it. Would someone? Possibly, but if you are going to do it, do it for yourself. Then it doesn't matter if anyone else gets something out of it.
