Um... just sayin'... that's not Wiccan, it's Heathen, based on the so-called nine noble virtues.
I often wish that I had done drugs in the '70s. At least there'd be a reason for the flashbacks. - Rick the Runesinger

For the Yule was upon them, the Yule; and they quaffed from the skulls of the slain,
And shouted loud oaths in hoarse wit, and long quaffing swore laughing again.

I do 12 days starting with Mother's Night though I don't necessarily focus on the virtues.

            In Days of yore,
            From Britain's shore
            Wolfe the dauntless hero came
            And planted firm Britannia's flag
            On Canada's fair domain.
            Here may it wave,
            Our boast, our pride
            And joined in love together,

We also celebrate Yule over 12 days (but without these themes), but for us, it starts tomorrow (on the 16th)...because "the longest night" is actually 12 nights here, starting on the 16th and ending the 27th.

                  gotta love http://www.sunrisesunset.com/ lol!

How do you celebrate Yule? Yorin's OP sounds lovely but there would be a part of me missing since I do not revere any gods and therefore, it would kind of be like spitting in the face of this particular observance. However I am very interested in perhaps adopting this, and getting started tonight since I have never celebrated ACTUAL Yule before, aside from spending deep time in the solitude of my altar, or taking a long, slow, moonlit walk in order to closer myself to the divine. If you wouldn't mind sharing, I would be interested in the read!

Crud! Its a little late for this...I forgot you posted here. With the kidlings, most of what we do is child-oriented...but this is our basic "schedule". I generally try to incorporate a story, meditation, craft, etc into each "topic".

I have never been across the way
Seen the desert and the birds
                            You cut your hair short
Like a shush to an insult
                            The world had been yelling
Since the day you were born
                            Revolting with anger
While it smiled like it was cute

I know I'm a little late on this but I've been meaning to ask: is Yule only a holiday for Northern traditions? (Trying to use proper terminology, sorry if I'm wrong.)
