So, I would like to do some more fantasy portrait practice (see my gallery in my signature or my PF Portfolio thread for examples) -- previously, I used some fabulous PF folks, because its nice to paint real people. I'd like to do some more of this and I want you guys to participate. If you are interested in being turned into an elf or a god or whatever tickles me based on your awesome face, please either send me a private message or post a pic in this thread.
I can't promise I'll do everyone -- but I can promise you'll have better luck being picked if you send interesting photos. Neat shadows, dramatic light, cool expressions? That'll get my attention. And no, you don't have to be "beautiful" in any traditional way. I think everyone looks cool, especially if you are unique. And yes, I will totally repaint the same people again, if you get me some new photos. (That means you Medusa and Thorson. I like your heads.)
If you decide to send a photo, you are okaying me to modify your image and you are telling me you own the rights to the photo (so no professional photos please, because the photographer owns those images technically). Also, if you are squeamish about particular mythological critters or deities or you think its heresy or something to be portrayed as one, you probably don't want to play -- since I can't guarantee who you'll be, I'm just going to go with the flow.
Once I finish one, I'll post the photo and the art in a new thread.
Can't wait to see your smiling, growling, Mona Lisa, crazy eyeball pictures!
