      Actually, it's more a matter of everybody who does it thinking that it will pay off for them - the Communists, for instance (in Cambodia, and everywhere else they get the power) need a "clean slate" to "fix" society, which means that everybody contaminated with "capitalist thinking" needs to be "re-educated" or dead (1.5 to 3 million in Cambodia)...
