    My damned sinuses are acting up. Gotta refill some of my meds and pick them up today. Thinking about getting some ice cream. My throat is sore.

        Got into my top university.

                    I adore Christmas. I start getting excited in October and often cry in shops because they're playing Christmas music and everyone's buying presents and oh my gods it's nearly Christmas!!!!!

                    Yet this year we haven't put the tree up or even decorated the hearth. We have a wreath on the front door and a snowman that lights up in the window so the neighbours don't think we're miserable scrooges, but otherwise, we just couldn't be bothered with the effort this year. We've just been so busy and Christmas is at my sisters anyway (and she has enough decorations for the both of us!!), so it just didn't seem worth it.

                    Still.. sat here having my belated yule drink, surrounded by bare, soulless magnolia walls, feels kinda.... I can feel my inner child dying a little inside.

                      Damn weather will not make up its mind...it hit close to 60 last Sunday,then over night dropped to 15 with snow...then back up to 40-45 and rained the next day,then froze again and so the roads were iced...I do not drive,but my daughter does,and I worry about her on the road.
