Cold here, with humongous thundershowers. The other day we had a frightening hail storm.
Every moment of a life is a horrible tragedy, a slapstick comedy, dark nihilism, golden illumination, or nothing at all; depending on how we write the story we tell ourselves.

Tropical storm warning, tornado watch, and 10-15 inches or ain through Thursday. Or another day on the Gulf Coast.

Hot, baking heat here. It's a race to see if you will be mummified before you find shelter.

I know. The heat is terrible and my allergies are killing me. We didn't have much of a winter here so the bugs weren't really killed off.

Funny thing happen to me at work today. I told my co-worker that we're going to have a fire drill. He asked how do you know? I said intuition. Two seconds later there was a fire drill. Everybdoy went outside. My co-worker said somebody must've told you that we're going to have a fire drill today and he didn't believe me. Honest to god. I'm not making this up. True story.

I interpreted that to be a dry heat, as opposed to moist heat like a sauna.

We have sauna weather right now.

Oh, I meant a dry heat. It just bothered me that I used the word "hot" to describe heat. But yes, baking heat vs. steaming heat. Somewhat better today. And I am thankful!

We're getting rain from Tropical Storm Cindy. Nothing bad, thank goodness. Today's been an off day for me and I just am feeling really low. Been in pajamas for most of the day.

What's up with Kansas this year? We haven't gotten normal rain- either there are no clouds, or a storm sweeps in with a flash flood that drops four inches in a night
