    Woodland images as talismans

With the presence of woodlands in decline, I think artistic impressions of forest scenes are particularly important as they can help us to partake in the ambience of woodland when it's impossible to be there in person. I also think there is ritual significance in the act of framing a photograph as you have to find the best perspective of the scene - to focus all your mind in seeking its most beautiful aspect.

Although digital photography has the advantage of allowing more opportunities for editing, this mostly happens away from the forest, so I think the framing in situ required of film photography makes it really important still.

I'm interested to see anyone's pagan photography, film or digital, and wonder if this thread could be used for people to share their pictures of different parts of the world. Mine can be found on my personal website (see profile), by following 'Photography' and 'Gallery'
