    Woman In Red

    #2
    Re: Woman In Red

My first thought is that it's an apparition, not a Deity. It could be something akin to an "imprint" or a recording that is etched into the environment - especially considering that it appears regardless of who is present. As for communicating with it, you could try - but be prepared to receive no response or even a negative one. I wouldn't suggest attempting to communicate with it directly unless you are skilled in psychic/magickal self-defense techniques.

It may seem that I am being rather paranoid, but I have also consulted as a paranormal investigator and I have seen too many similar incidents that have led to misery because the person attempting to "reach out" to the spirit was not prepared.

Makes sense.. I just find it odd that I've lived here 6 months and before recently... There wasn't anything paranormal or supernatural going on. I'm not frightened and I'm no amateur when it comes to being around these certain beings... I just find it odd that it has happened out of nowhere without me summoning her. Unless someone is trying to contact me from the other side.. But so far, nothing about her seems familiar.

Erm, this may be bold, but I'll say it.

My grandmother was bedridden with cancer (Long before my years mind you, 1940's.) and was praying to the Christian god to be cured because she had kids to take care of. Long story short one night she saw orbs of light on the walls and a little later she recovered from the severe cancer. Miraculously.

Maybe it's a christian angel there to do some work?

Not knocking any ideas or anyone's Faith.. But the Christian and Catholic views have never been a favorite of mine. I was raised that way and all it did was give me a bunch of false hope and unanswered prayers.. So I seriously doubt anything of that Faith is trying to do any work in my favor. But what happened to your Grandmother is a true miracle and whatever healed her is amazing! Thank you for your input... Hopefully I'll find out soon.. :/

Maybe the angel is passing through to help somebody in another apartment, or maybe you, and you just don't know it. Thats where I'd throw my lot anyways.

Generally, if an apparition repeats the same movement or motion each time it is seen (like a recording playing over), and doesn't seem to react or interact with attempts to communicate with it, then it's not a spirit but an imprint.

Oh yes I've heard of those too. Like a recorder stuck on replay. Playing out a memory.

Yep. Strong emotional energy or similar can mark a permanent or semi-permanent record on the environment. This is actually what most 'hauntings' are, especially those that are linked with places like old mental hospitals or the sites of murders etc. Sometimes there are actual earthbound spirits in these places, but more often than not it's imprints. That's not to say that they are completely inert... they can still have an energy of their own, can create the mood of a place, can act as sinkholes for creepiness and can attract opportunistic entities which then complicate the dynamics of the place.

Iron on the door, salt on the floor. Any symbol that's of personal importance to you, that you can easily envision and focus on, should work as a ward as well.

Ghosts are like any sort of household pest, if you notice one it means you are susceptible to more. You can smash every ant you see, but you'll just get more and more until you stop them at the source. Prevention is always better than treatment.
Trust is knowing someone or something well enough to have a good idea of their motivations and character, for good or for ill. People often say trust when they mean faith.

I haven't see her for a few days. But I can still feel something paranormal around. It's not threatening.. Just catches me off guard.
