    Supremes at it again...

    Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia says that, while the gooberment can't favor one religion over another, it CAN favor religion over non-religion....

    In other words: atheists, you ain't American.

    Ahh, the reason we keep 9 Supreme Court Justices at any given time.

    It allows us to mitigate the results when one of them is an idiot.

      Silly me,I always thought that to be a supreme,you had to never be biased about anything....But that might mean all we can do is get Spock in there.

        I don't agree with him, but I also think he's being misrepresented. He's saying that we don't have to purge religion from our government in order to comply with the constitution, and that is true. There is nothing in the verbiage that requires it. Yet there is a big push to purge all mention of it and he disagrees with that, which he is allowed to do. From what I can tell he's only defending his personal position at this point and this isn't directly related to any cases or rulings so to say that he's not allowed to express personal opinions because of his position is ... really ridiculous to me. It seems vastly intolerant.
