    Fasting and praying for salvation from Ebola?

    "Liberians began three days of fasting and prayers on Wednesday to seek salvation from the "curse" of the Ebola epidemic, which has killed 2,705 people and infected 4,665 more in the West African country.

    The National Christian Ebola Task Force, an organization formed in September by different Christian denominations, urged Liberians to fast from dawn-to-dusk over the next three days."

    "Ebola is a virus from the devil. It's killing us because we have turned our back to God," Reverend David G. Benitoe, a representative of the task force, told a news conference.

    "We have traded the worship of God with the worship of demons and witchcraft, and evil stuff is now happening in this country," Benitoe said."

    Interesting, there are certain groups working with sigils and thoughtforms to actually attempt to increase the spread of Ebola into a full blown global (or at least continental - which should tell you what their motivations are) epidemic.

      Please cite your source about " certain groups" otherwise the mention just seems conjecture.

        Google ''ebola-chan.'' Granted it's probably a joke for a lot of them, but at least some of the participants are serious (for all the good I imagine it will do them). But like I said, it's interesting that you've got people praying and fasting to get rid of it and others trying to work magic to increase it.

        And maybe next time, ask for sources without the rather rude insinuation that the individual is lying.

            If we didn't have an increasingly concerned world then I'd put money with the pandemic crowd's odds actually. A number of the people attempting to spiritually oppose the disease are shooting themselves in the foot on the physical level if my understanding of the situation is right. The catch is that as the world gets more concerned, it will start pushing harder to contain this outbreak and that should be a more decisive factor.

              This is the kind of thing my aunt is into. Heal the world with vibrations of light and love, and nothing's real anyway, etc. I'm not knocking the power of prayer, meditation, visualization, etc. at all. But if I see my neighbor's house on fire, I'm gonna call 911 and grab the garden hose before I start visualizing a rainstorm, just sayin'.

                My ex in-laws were the exact same way. They're immediate response to anything was "Oh! Let me send a message around my prayer circle!"

                            I read it that way as well, and I have no issues with my eyes. :3

                            On the topic of fasting and prayer for healing, it is all well and good that they are contributing their efforts to areas that they believe will work for the better of the Liberian community, in face of this threat, but by no means is it a proper response. Is not biology and modern medicine a part of creation to these people? :='(:
