    When I was in Junior High school,I got lunch(poor kid) BUT I had to scrape dishes of other kids right after eating(so I had to work for my meals)
    MAGIC is MAGIC,black OR white or even blood RED

    all i ever wanted was a normal life and love.

      I know, I'm really late to this discussion party, but ... Aldi is where I primarily shop, but I tend to avoid the produce there, except for greens and roots. All in all, though, it's gret getting a full cart of food and paying half as much as going to the big chain stores!

      Not in the grocery store I worked at. I worked in the frozen foods and dairy departments, and when items were discontinued or past the date, or what have you, those items were thrown out: poured down the sink, tossed into the trash barrels, etc, and only the packaging was returned to the producers for credit.

        I have been to an Aldi here,mainly generic foods

          I imagine it's different everywhere, because they have different things in each region. Here, the produce is pretty good, but the produce at Lidl (a similar store...not sure if you have it in the States) is better, so I usually buy dry goods at Aldi and produce at Lidl. When I went to Italy, though, everything at Lidl sucked.

            Our school has a breakfast program, but I dont k ow any other schools who have it in SA, there are a few though I guess. No lunch programs though.
