All your money belong to us..Banks and fraud

    http://www.rollingstone.com/politics...-fail-20120314

I myself have wondered why some of the higher ups in these banks and companies are not sitting in a 4 by 4 cell.

I read about bogus fines for what would put the average person in the slammer for a very long time.

Your feelings and perhaps more links to stories about this topic.

I just found out that their paltry fines are tax deductible for the most part. Yep, taxpayers get to pay their fines as well -- just in case you still thought there had been some small bit of justice at the end of the game, there isn't.

It's like the pharmaceutical industry - they know they can get away with all sorts of mischief because the punishment is purely financial, and always less than the profit they gain from indulging in said mischief. This kind of crap will keep happening until they're charged significantly more than whatever profit they made breaking the law, and personal consequences are implemented for the individuals in charge (ie. extensive jail time).
