Oh, I'm so sad. May his journey to, and awakening in the Summerlands be blessed.

As we mourn his loss, I'm also grateful that he is no longer suffering the pain that he has been in for so many years.

For someone who often claimed he had no faith in humanity, his willingness to step out and help people, even compairative strangers, was astounding.

I wish with all my heart I had been able to meet him in person before his passing.

          He will be deeply missed.

I had to stop by just to acknowledge Chain's loss. Though I don't come here as often as I once did, I shared things with him that I wouldn't have told my family. He WAS family, even though I never met him in person. He was a wonderful soul and I hope that wherever that soul has gone knows just how lucky they are to have him.

I think I'm still in shock that he's actually gone. I feel on the edge of deep grief. Chain is the first person I've known and associated with by choice who passed away and it's a very different and in some ways harder feeling.

He was in many ways a friend and mentor and I wish him a peaceful journey.
We are what we are. Nothing more, nothing less. There is good and evil among every kind of people. It's the evil among us who rule now. -Anne Bishop, Daughter of the Blood

I wondered if he could ever understand that it was a blessing, not a sin, to be graced with more than one love.
It could be complicated; of course it could be complicated. And it opened one up to the possibility of more pain and loss.
Still, it was a blessing I would never relinquish. Love, genuine love, was always a cause for joy.

Words aren't enough. But his pain will be done now, and he will be free.

I've been trying to think of something to post and nothing seems like it's enough. All that comes to mind right now is we have lost a dear friend.

There was an awesome sunset here today, too. I posted this on facebook:

A beautiful sunset today, honoring the life & times of Michael "ChainLightning" Johnson who passed away this afternoon. He was a good friend who I never met, but knew for several years here on FB and on another forum, thanks to the magic of the internet. He was one of a handful of people who I felt could "hear" me. R.I.P. and you will be sorely missed, you wonderful grumpy old cuss.Click image for larger version

You know it! He's telling us he's OK now. I know that not everyone believes in that kind of thing. No offense. But I'm a big believer in signs, and not only was there that gorgeous sunset today, but I had a notification on my facebook page that someone "poked" me, and it said that he had, too. It does that, tells you the last couple of folks who poked, in the notification, so I guess he'd done it several weeks ago. But it was really odd, this afternoon, to see that appear all of a sudden. And really welcomed.

Words don't really give any of this justice. We'll feel the loss, and my thoughts go out to his family (including his PF family). All I can say is that I feel he has moved on toward something better, lighter, unrestricted by a physical shell.

This is the first I've seen of this post, I'm so sad I didn't even know what was happening with chain, I feel like I failed him not even sending thoughts for him. He was in so much pain, at least now he can rest, no pain, just peace, until he starts a riot, because hey, it's chain, he'd get bored with too much rest.
