    Bullet changes direction in flight

I have been racking my brain trying to imagine how they managed to do this.

    http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/h...w/45564495.cms

As far as I understand physics, and the laws of motion, this should not be possible, but there it is right in the news.

"The United States department of defence has successfully tested a bullet that can change direction after it has been fired, apparently using fins built into the shell to direct it in the air and account for wind and targets moving."

"The Extreme Accuracy Tasked Ordnance weapon, known as Exacto, is made by American industrial company Teledyne Technologies. The firm is making the bullet for the American government's military research agency, Darpa."
MAGIC is MAGIC,black OR white or even blood RED

Well, some missiles can change direction right? Suppose there's a lot of fancy technology going on here, it doesn't seem impossible. but I know nothing about weapons...

It doesn't need to make huge changes in flight, if it can shift a few degrees early in flight then that will have a large impact on where it hits.

The variation between R and r in the pic below isn't big near the point of origin but is big further out. Odds are that the fins are used for small course correction at long range to get similarly dramatic results on impact.

life itself was a lightsaber in his hands; even in the face of treachery and death and hopes gone cold, he burned like a candle in the darkness. Like a star shining in the black eternity of space.

      Yoda: Dark Rendezvous

"But those men who know anything at all about the Light also know that there is a fierceness to its power, like the bare sword of the law, or the white burning of the sun." Suddenly his voice sounded to Will very strong, and very Welsh. "At the very heart, that is. Other things, like humanity, and mercy, and charity, that most good men hold more precious than all else, they do not come first for the Light. Oh, sometimes they are there; often, indeed. But in the very long run the concern of you people is with the absolute good, ahead of all else..."

John Rowlands, The Grey King by Susan Cooper

"You come from the Lord Adam and the Lady Eve", said Aslan. "And that is both honour enough to erect the head of the poorest beggar, and shame enough to bow the shoulders of the greatest emperor on earth; be content."

Aslan, Prince Caspian by CS Lewis

Money well spent I'm sure. We totally needed this in our lives.

I would like to fight on behalf of uncle Sam, althought I was born in Serbia, so I would like to break Chris Kyle's record.
          This might be useful.
