I really have never had much interest in my ancestors. There is enough weird to go around with my living relatives,don't really want to know to much about the dead and gone ones..

I hear you. I thought the same thing, but as tenacious, impulsive, compulsive and obsessive as I am I gotta go with it. Now it's a challenge.

They can also tell you if you have Neaderthal DNA. It's nice to know if your distant ancestors were into the interspecies mambo.

Go for it! I think you'll be surprised at what you find. It's really opened my eyes to a lot of things, probably the biggest being a new view of my ancestors and family relationships. I've made contact with two people, one who is definitely a 2nd cousin and one who may be. We've exchanged family info we know of, and are looking into that more, but the biggest thing is that we could pass definitely for cousins, if not for brothers. I showed his picture to my niece who said "wait, is he one of your brothers?" It's not so much that I want to find relatives (I already have too many ), but it's certain mysteries of ancestry in the families I'm interested in solving.
