I was dreaming a beautiful scene.
Arrested, and floating along.
My eyes were drawn skyward
My heart ever singing, 'Emmanuel, Emmanuel!'

And I thought it would last forever and ever and ever.
I was so sure, so sure.
And I knew the reason for all my pain and all my joy.
All my joy...

A beautiful dream.

My dream sounds became more like the mundane.
The clattering of dishes, the kettle boiling.
And I know I've awoken but lost something special
With no way to reclaim
But to reframe

My beautiful dream.
