Re: Massage therapy and energy drain
Massage Therapy is a very demanding line of work, physically and energetically speaking. I wonder if you could attempt something a little bit more mundane and simply sit/stand on a grounding mat (sometimes also called earthing mats or pads) for some part of the session or afterward when you're charting/logging your sessions depending on your setting? I worked part time for both a spa and at a chiropractor's clinic and found the Spa - which was also a franchise - was a lot more draining than the chiropractor's. Of course there's a lot of variables to consider and with your experience I don't doubt that you've tried many different things to keep the balance and boundaries in check. Maybe the mat could help. If you're not able to bring it to work, perhaps it can be part of an after-work routine.Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted. And experience is often the most valuable thing you have to offer.
