Every moment of a life is a horrible tragedy, a slapstick comedy, dark nihilism, golden illumination, or nothing at all; depending on how we write the story we tell ourselves.
Sooooo breakfast today was: egg beaters with Tapatio, turkey bacon, whole wheat thin English muffin and a few sliced strawberries.
Verdict? Egg beaters is the bomb, can't tell the difference.Turkey bacon worked well since I made sure to crisp that sucker up! Muffin was tasty and strawberries are low glycemic. So yeah, I give my eggs and bacey Diabetic version a thumbs up!
I also do Egg beaters, never had turkey bacon..how does it stack up to real pork? I do egg beaters on toast with sereicha(sp) and cheese. I have had vegi bacon from when my ex and I were togather(She is pure veg) Not bad,but still not bacon though.
MAGIC is MAGIC,black OR white or even blood RED

If you crisp up the turkey bacon it's good. It's not bacon. But it works with the meaty crunch in your mouth. More importantly it's only 70 cal and only 5g of fat. My whole breakfast worked out to be 231 cal and only 9 grams of fat and 15 grams of protein. Surprisingly it did get me feeling full through lunch. I'm thinking of doing a blt with it and see how that goes.
I've been cooking meals this week, my turn. Last night was jerk chicken with rice and peas with corn cob, today smoky meatballs with beans and skin on wedges. Tomorrow, veg curry. I spoil these guys I really do haha.
I'm not one to ever pray for mercy
Or to wish on pennies in the fountain or the shrine
But that day you know I left my money
And I thought of you only
All that copper glowing fine
Crockpot* chicken and whole wheat egg noodles with creamy Parmesan and spinach sauce, grilled corn with tomatoes and steamed green beans (with a lemon, cracked pepper and thyme dressing b, honey butter croissants, zucchini and yellow squash sauteed in a pesto-y sort of butter sauce.
*auto changed crockpot to crackpot and it was too funny to change
