    vow to wear kaftan

    have a question.
I like wearing Kaftans and have been asked if I am required to
or have vowed to wear Kaftan and was wondering if it is possible
to vow to wear Kaftan all the time.
I do like wearing Kaftans a lot
and I do like the idea of wearing Kaftan all the time
and knowing that if it is possible and I were to vow to that
I would always be in Kaftan

You can vow to do whatever the heck you want. A vow is just a promise. Not sure what you are asking us.

There's nothing official that makes a promise a vow, in that sense. A vow is more a promise made to someone else...usually to a deity, like a Christian monk taking a vow of silence. That vow is to his God, hence it is a very specific sort of promise.

Now a vow to wear a certain sort of clothing...if you have a patron god or goddess you feel would be honored by that, then make a vow to that deity. Otherwise, its just a promise of personal preference, which is also fine, but I guess I can't see that making an online graphic would cause anything to happen UNLESS it means something to you.

In the end, who are you vowing to do this for? That's the question. If its just a vow to yourself, then only you can decide what makes it legitimate.

I'm curious to know why you feel it is important to make such a vow?

I'd imagine it'd get pretty nasty after a while, what with you wearing it while bathing and sleeping. Unless you could change them while still wearing them.
Trust is knowing someone or something well enough to have a good idea of their motivations and character, for good or for ill. People often say trust when they mean faith.

no I would take them off when bathing, and
put on a clean one, I just meant that they would be the only
kind of cloths that I would wear and not that I would wear the same one all the time

So no socks, hats, shoes, gloves, or underwear then?

well I'd wear coat and gloves if needed and shoes and sox
perhaps I didn't word it quite right but I meant that I'd wear kaftans all
                          the time.
but right now I do wear kilts, skirts and kaftans

Except when changing and bathing? I don't really understand what you are vowing exactly, or why. From what I understand you are not planning on wearing only kaftans, nor are you planning on always wearing kaftans. You are basically going to wear kaftans in preference to other clothes that fill the same role, when appropriate.

It's kind of important to get the wording of your vow right if you want to honor it.

yes that is correct, I'd wear kaftans in preference to other clothes
though I would not mind wearing only kaftans.
sometimes I have trouble getting things worded right
